      **GRAPHIC PICTURES** 358WSSM, 200GR ACCUBOND @ 2520FPS

SKIP, fine looking critter. Glad to hear some of us have been able to utilize the new "generic" rifle. Nice to see the inside as well. Good info.

Taking my demacrat/commy cousin out shooting. What to bring?

I might bring a couple large garbage bags, a hammer and a shovel.

      Oh No...Another .358 thread ...?

I'm running 225 AB's on a TC pro hunter w/ MGM barrel at ~2520fps, 1.610" case w/o any issues. 4-5" groups at 300yds until I improve my glass, or learn to shoot better. :) Recoil is reasonable in my book, significantly less than any slug gun I've had. I can put 20 rounds thru it without feeling...

      Lever action 2 part question

:twocents: More and throwing a small wrench in. I opted for the .44 ruger carbine several years back and am very pleased. Only downside is that it prefers full 240 gr loads so plinking is out. Factory 180's wont cycle well but hot reloads seem to do ok. I picked up a 1894ss awhile back and like...

I'm secure enough in my masculinity to wear that hat....

      358WSSM case making project.

Just curious what groups you guys are seeing with your .358WSSM. I am shooting 3" groups at 200yds with 225gr accubonds. Twas a little windy and i might have had too much coffee...... Coffee wore off and wind died down, then I did have a 5 shot group under 3" and think I am ready to stretch it...

Disappointed at the Greenfield gun show today

2o gauge w/cantilevered barrel for deer

Hmmm... Well just goes to show that everything works differently for everyone. I have a 20ga 870 with a cantilever barrel that I could not get better than 3" groups at 100yds, not that 3" groups are horrible but expected better. I tried SST's, copper solids, 2 3/4", 3", you name it and finally...

OK, finally was able to load up some rounds and get out and here's what i observed. Used all new brass, 25WSSM sized to .30 annealed then sized to .35. Fired out of a 26" barrel. Please note that these rounds and data are created unique to my rifle, powder and my newly acquired standard process...

      Considering selling a "gun"

Hmm... IMHO there are only 3 reasons for owning a gun that you don't love or don't intend on using. 1) Collector value with intent to sell it one day for a profit, 2) knowing you got a really good deal and planning on passing it along to a child 3) bought it before your buddy could and just...

      358WSSM case making project.

OK, a little range report. Not ideal conditions to shoot today with the wind and heat, but had a window of opportunity and needed to take advantage of it. I made sure to let the barrel cool between shots which helped extend the session. I had loaded some start loads with 225 gr accubond...

      358WSSM case making project.

I am using IMR4895 on the first batch but thinking about 3031 next. I have a 26" MGM barrel so expecting good velocities either way. So if I am hearing you correctly, as I start reaching max loads, I should expect to have some compression in the powder? I will keep a close eye on pressures...

      358WSSM case making project.

OK, Sorry for the lag in posts guys. Been immensely hectic on this end for the past Month. So I received my parent cases, 25WSSM and finally had some time last night to sit down uninterrupted and work on these. I sized the first step to .30 and then annealed, followed by sizing to .35 but did...

Vette, I had this exact piece on my radar. Guess I was debating between this and a Monarch. I think I like the Vortex features better for the money but wanted to look at it in person before purchasing. Let me deal with some internal demons on this and I will letcha know.
