      pan'n for gold

      Took the wife and the grandson on an ATV trip to Colorado last summer. We panned in 2 different spots. Found nothing in the first spot and had flakes in ever pan in the second. It was fun. Kind of exciting. Very simple and easy to do.

      Harrison Crawford Adventure Trail I have done the Knobstone and several other trails around the state. There are a lot of scenic places for a day hike in Indiana. If you can't find commited friends, do it alone. You may run into other solo hikers that have the same pace. I haven't been on it...

      The Parrot rifle used elongated shells. They did away with the sabot's and balls.

      That would be the Parrot rifle. Truly simple way they had of making the projectile go bang when it hit something. Everthing else depended on a timed fuse and enough flame blowing around the ball to light it.

      You can still buy 8 pt Craftsman sockets. Looks like a Verbrugen barrel. Where did you get it?
