I wondered if someone would remember the Salem Indiana Bombs.
It seems that anyone that wants to do evil has the opportunity in this country. Schools are still too easy to get into. Malls, theaters seem like soft targets.
I live in Boonville. Not far from Evansville. When I heard about the break in and shooting I was pleased to hear that the older gentleman was able to protect himself. I hope he is doing well after the event.
First I have to agree with Double T about Bioshock Infinite. Seems to have raised the bar on simple video games. I'm not finished with it yet either.
Also, photography, leather working, pen making.
We had a house fire in January that has slowed down the hobbies for a while but I think we're...
I used to only carry revolvers. I simply didn't trust the semi-autos. Until, I purchased my Kimber Crimson Ultra Carry. I spent a lot of time at the range shooting that gun with my carry ammo. So, I trusted my carry gun.
Next I had to trust the gun and myself to carry with one in the...
Hi Ruffnek. I'll start out by saying that I don't consider myself a gun snob or any snob for that matter. I'll be honest, I own a Kimber Ultra Carry. But, I didn't buy one till a couple of years ago. I'm 52 now. I bought it for my 50th birthday. Throughout most of my life I shot shotguns and...
I have to agree with the CZ votes. I've shot several CZ 22s and they've all been better than their prices. Good rifles. Accurate rifles. I used my 452 in IR50/50 competition with a Tasco scope and won a few.
I live in Boonville and I have been to all of these shows. I favor the Evansville 4H Center show. I just seem to be able to find more of what I am interested in there. I can normally do a quick walk-through at the Armory show. The Boonville show is the one I seldom attend anymore.
Maybe not an heirloom exactly but I do still have my dad's Marlin model 60. Seems like they made millions of them. Still shoot pretty good. No real value except the memories it brings back. Probably end up giving it to my son or a grandson with plenty of stories attached.
I live about 30 minutes from Evansville but would rather drive to Dave's in Holland.
About two months ago I was in Evansville and called Strictly to ask when they would be closing. They told me 6:00. I got there at 5:30 and they already had most of the guns locked away in the safe. There was...
I agree with this. I used to shoot IR50/50 and precision ammo is a big part of the game. I paid as much as $12 -$15 for 50 rounds of .22lr to try to find that special ammo that my gun liked. Luckily my rifle loved a little less expensive Wolf Match. I still shoot it through my S&W MP 15-22 and...
