I have the pleasure of building 5 1911s that I won at auction. All I have is the framers. Anyone out there have sone old, used, or take off parts they wcould like to get rid of? Any assistance would be appreciated. Special thanks to Allen Moore for his help and knowledge.
So I'm building my first AR-15 and I am getting most of my parts from Gunbroker.com. My question is this, I just received my LPK and when installing it my Hammer looks different than any others I have seen before. Can anyone tell me if this is a problem? See pic.
That is beautiful, I love the side charging bolt, was that bought or made?
If they can make a bolt action upper to shoot the 50 cal surely someone can make one that shoots the 7.62 so that you can use a standard bolt and barrel setup, just side mag like the 50 cal uppers. No?
I believe it is all in the upper, the lower is all the same price. Plus the mags which are different. The 5.56 is going to be less expensive due to being the most common, the up from there.
Just pulled this off of American Tacticals website, and it says they have a 2 year warranty on them, so I guess I will give it a shot (pun intended) :):
.410 sounds fun :-) maybe I should build one of those for home defense, then a metal lower for the larger round like the Grendel I was...
Mine does say Multi Cal on it? When Allen checked it out he said that it looked pretty good but if there is a known issues with these cracking I guess I could try to resale it. I had it up on Gunbroker for about 2 weeks and it never sold.
Ok here it is, the gold stuff that I bought doesn't work, the etchings on the gun are too shallow to hold it in.
Soon to be on Gunbroker.com
I'm not going to mess with the wood, I figure if someone buys it they might want a different stain than what I put on it. Plus its $60.00 I don't have...
Ok so I am working on a Remington Model 11 shotgun and bought this stuff to fill the etchings in to make them a gold color, so I couldn't resist trying it on my new lower first.
Whatcha think? :dunno:
Can I make a suggestion? https://www.treadwright.com/ I use them on my daily driver and have no issues in the past 3 years. Not like it use to be , these things are great.
oops posted twice :-P
