And just as good now as they were back then (lots of fun to strip though)......

Nice. Flintlock, saphaunce, wheel lock michelet lock,.......I think the flintlock was the longest running ignition system; I don't think the recipient will care that it's an antique. Slow, but still viable today.

      Pocket Gun Show -N- Tell

Always wondered about the pinks and purples avail. with polymer. Read a story about a guy who saved his bacon with one when a scofflaw accused him of threatening with a gun. Since an officer was present, he asked the officer to have the guy describe his gun. "Oh yeah, man,.....black, all...

I think that just about says it all. ......I do like the old Detonics AMT 380 though (freudian slip.....almost said "389"...old Pontiacs just have a special place....to carry a gun....)

      INGO Interactive Reloading Manual

Well, you've got about as good a selection of .357 revolvers as I've seen. Any one would be hard to beat as a "walk away with it " revolver. (really like the Security Six, and Speed Six!).

My 26 works O.K. but I cheated, used a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel (sweet). Yeah, you're right about the factory barrels (forged rifling?).

      INGO Interactive Reloading Manual

I'd check the manuals, but isn't it generally safer to do what you suggest, using load data for fmj with a lead bullet, than the reverse?

      INGO Interactive Reloading Manual

I've been using .38spl., 6.0 HS-6, small pistol primers, 158 hard cast commercial swc (Kieth style, big grease goove) . By "commercial", I just mean, I didn't cast them. From local gun shop in boxes of 500. Decent mid-range in Armscor pretend Dt. spl. (I know, it's ugly as sin, but it knows...

Prepping spare parts for long-term storage

Agreed! A few years ago Smith had a big rebate on the 9mm M&P. I think I had, maybe 140.00 in it, new in the box, after the "sale", and rebate. Likely won't see that any time soon! Definitely a keeper. We'll likely need a few "official" items, if "Fingers" lasts (like a Ruby, or two??).

      I love handguns....

Agreed! Something just feels right about a good Security Six, or Speed Six.

Ammo Prices...Seem to be coming down

A few outfits have primers, but at outlandish prices ("we've got it, and you want it"...)Saw some from an outfit in Boston Mass., plenty , but mega priced. Oh well, there's always Flints, 4fg, 3fg.? .......

      Rossi 462-02

Any thoughts on durability of Rossi 462-02 , .357? Picked one up used, like new, a few years ago, carry in rotation, but not frequently. Quite tight, and smooth at present. My guess was that .357's should be a rarity. I typically use .38, 158 LSWCHP +P.

      Remington

At the risk of being duplicative, is Remington Firearms Co. still in business, or has the bankruptcy closed them down?

      Wheel Gun Show-N-Tell

Carried one for quite a while. Ruger SP101 is a genuine class act.....nice greps,...too.
