Hey Frank. I'm an Arson Investigator for the State Fire Marshal's Office. Detective for Westfield PD before that (Graduated Plainfield May 1980, so I qualify as an old-timer). This is an interesting site....... Sorry for the delayed response. Still learning my way around.

Ya know, at one time I jokingly mentioned a "beer summit", but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of getting a group of gun owners, and a group of LEOs, together in a neutral location to discuss the issues, and hopefully find common ground..

Thanks for the rep. Yup, flamed and neg reped is right (my first neg rep, I am so proud). The sad thing is, nothing the media says about us is as bad as what people are demonstrating in that thread. It started that I just thought those involved were being a bit harsh towards those cautioning it might not be a prudent thing to do... now it is much worse.

I'm sorry, but that answer is not going to fly with me...so many of our conversations get repeated over and over again, but they hardly ever get closed due to repetition..."pet pictures" posts, "1911 questions" posts, "Favorite carry weapon" posts...they all get repeated and are not closed...but you're saying that's the reason this one got closed? I was born before today, but it wasn't yesterday!
