      Nrl22 scope

Not illuminated, but i have used the Vortex Diamondback tactical 4-16x in base class and it worked well. You may have a difficult time finding all the features you need plus illumination and staying with in the MSRP rules of base class. Be sure to get a recticle with useable sub-tension lines...

      RUGER AMERICAN RIMFIRE TARGET

If the action and barrel is the same as the standard RAR , I would not expect anything fantastic. I bought a compact for my son to shoot base class NRL matches and my older 10-22 will out shoot the RAR compact.

      Self-Defense Ammo

There is a lot of information there to digest. I thought it was interesting what I felt like were drastically different results within a common caliber. Thanks for posting.

      SHOTGUN CHOKE TUBES FOR COYOTES

I have used just a standard Remington full choke with #4 lead buckshot from a 2 3/4 shell out to 48 yards. It may have been a lucky shot but the coyote just dropped. I normally try to stay within 40 yrds if I am using a shotgun. I would go with larger shot than BB if your intended target is...

      Ruger Ar

I recently bought a Ruger MPR and had problems with it cycling rounds. The bolt seemed tight around the locking lugs. I put in a known good BCG from another AR and still had issues. I called Ruger and they wanted me to send it back. Ruger emailed a pre-paid shipping label and turned the gun...

      9mm Carbines for home defense

I have had zero issues with my Gen2 Sub2000 after roughly 300 rnds. Mine is the 9mm M&P version. The length of pull is a little short for me but I am willing to deal with it since the carbine is so light and compact. At 16 inches folded you can keep it in a small backpack and it deploys quickly...

      Sub 2k question

I think you are correct. I think the non-glock models are known as multi-mag. I think the magazine conversions are around $15.

Glock 43 won't feed hollow points

I have had similar problems on my smaller handguns with steeper feed ramps. I agree with what was mentioned above the you might try Remington Golden Saber HP. They have a very round bullet profile for a HP bullet. When I had problems with the first round loading it was typically with a relative...

      Carbine Clinic (Rifle 223) - May 28th - Bedford

Thanks to Slim and all the instructors / volunteers for a great class ! It was a great day to be shooting at such a neat place. Zeroed Rifles . . . . Slim stated in the original post we were shooting from close up out to 200 yrds. We all knew this weeks in advance. The target at 200 yards...

      Caught a (to me) Unicorn!

I have been considering buying a FCP-SR. What is difference between these older models and what Savage is selling now?

      11-87 SP light load cycling

I had a mid 90s era 11-87 premier in 20ga. It had problems cycling the light target loads. I thought about having a gun smith open the gas ports up a bit to help with the light loads but decided I didnt want to go that route. I later found somewhere on the web about guys running a extra sealing...

      .17 mach2

Thanks for the heads up. I gave them a call but the fellow I talked to said they had none in stock. They did have .17HMR , .17WSM & .17 hornet.

      .17 mach2

I have been looking for .17 mach2 for sometime now with no success. Other than seeing it on gun broker for .40 cents a round I have had no luck. Has anybody seen any lately ?

      Scope for Ar 15 help

I agree on the 1-4 power range if most shots are under 200 yards. 4x should be plenty. Things can happen fast and close when coyote/fox hunting. Over magnification can take you out of the game.
