So I've decided feed my 1911 addiction with a new 3" model. Just wanting opinions on the 2 i'm eyeballing. Kimber ultra carry II and a S&W. The kimber is roughly $200 less so i'm leaning that direction. I know they're both good guns but I'd like some input from my fellow INGO'ers.

I agree with the general consensus here. If you're around a group of close personal friends that all share a mind set about firearms, then sure I'll show it. If there are people that I don't know well, then I'll deny that I'm even carrying.
