Anyone investing in Series I Bonds?

I haven't had any issues. I've heard complaints about how outdated the website is and that if you forget your username and/or password it can take a while to get access to your account. Everything has worked the way it should for me.

Anyone investing in Series I Bonds?

We started last year and have bought the limits in 2021 and 2022. If you've got extra money laying around after maxing your 401k and HSA, I'd recommend I-bonds. I-bonds bought after are currently paying 9.62% annually for the next 6 months. After that the rate will change based on inflation...

Our Nation’s Teachers Are Hustling to Survive

It's even easier than that. Everyone paid by local and state taxes in Indiana has their pay posted online every year. You can look up the pay for teachers, police, firefighters, politicians, street department employees, etc. Check out the Indiana Gateway site where you can look up pay by name.

Our Nation’s Teachers Are Hustling to Survive

In my school district, new hires get to negotiate their starting pay (after the first year, the raise is based on evaluation and whatever the union negotiates). If the superintendent wants to, a new teacher could come in making what a teacher with 20 or 30 years of experience has. That hasn't...

Our Nation’s Teachers Are Hustling to Survive

I'm a mid-career, public school teacher (not a union member--too liberal for me). I also work jobs other than teaching. Teaching pay is not bad (not great either), especially if you're part of a dual income household. Like most other careers, if you're smart with your money you'll be fine. I...

      Any union guys in here?

Was in the NEA when I was younger. Got tired of paying dues to promote democrats and liberal causes that had nothing to do with my job. Never influenced how I voted.

      Senator Jim Tomes

Kind of bummed that with the new state senate boundaries he'll no longer be my state senator.

      Lawn mowers

I've got a Gravely ZT HD 52 and I wouldn't recommend it if you want a manicured look. I'm going into my third year using it. My complaint is the quality of cut. The Gravely has been much more reliable than the Scag Liberty Z that I had prior (mostly engine issues--Scag had a Kohler and the...

      Coach

I hate to hear this. I took a one on one class with him last April. I was hoping he'd beat it and return to training one day. Prayers for his family.
