      Crown P:oint

They don't have to do that. There were license plate readers and cameras installed all around the fairgrounds by the Lake County Sheriff's Department. They can do it from the comfort of an office building. They were made famous during "Operation Scarecrow".

      ATF Agent Shot

^^^ This. SWAT style raids are probably unnecessary about 90% of the time they are used. Many times they have the potential to make the situation much more dangerous. 50 or 60 years ago people would be appalled at the tactics used by law enforcement today. The failed war on drugs made the...

      Indiana Constitutional Carry

You guys are making me feel old. The federal background check system was implemented in 1998. I still remember the days of filling out a much more simple 4473 and just walking away. There was even a spot on the form where the dealer could put "known to me" and not put the ID. Dealers would put...

      Is the g19 obsolete

Obsolete? It's not even that old. I still carry a P7M8, it's even older. Many people I know still carry 1911s. It doesn't matter what you're carrying as long as it is reliable and comfortable for you.

Who uses solid brass 12ga shells, and for what?

We sell them in 12 ga, 24 ga, 32 ga and 36 ga (.410) at the store. They are expensive, around $35 to $38 plus tax.

      Stout Field gun show

The Indiana department of revenue actually goes to shows, including the 1500, and checks the vendors to be sure they are collecting Indiana sales tax (at least they used to back when I set up there). If they aren't collecting tax, they are happy to help you fill out the proper paperwork.

      Stout Field gun show

There have been several different promotors at that venue over the last 40 years. The one doing it now is the same promotor that was doing it up until 2001, when the military cancelled all the shows after 9/11 for awhile. There was at least one other promotor during the post-9/11 era for a few...

      Greenfield Gun Show

It's been the same promotor since it was in the armory about 20 years ago, then moved to the fairgrounds. I'm not sure what old guy you're referring to.

      18650 Batteries

The rechargeable batteries are great, for MOST devices. For high-drain devices, they sometimes don't work. The only reason I know about the difference in size between those batteries is because I've made the same mistake myself. They look almost identical.

      18650 Batteries

You are probably thinking about the 16650. It's 2mm more narrow and will fit in place of 2 CR123 batteries.

      18650 Batteries

They are similar, but not the same. The 18650 is wider. It will not fit into the same hole that a CR123 will, but it looks like it will until you try.

      18650 Batteries

It's pretty close, but not quite 42 grams. I weighed a few and they are all within .5 grams, hovering just below 42 grams and just above 41. The battery designation actually comes from the dimensions (length and width), so the weight would be a good way to determine if substandard components...
