Thanks to all those who setup and run the match.
Great squad and weather although the wind played havoc on the steel and even the paper targets.
It was a blast to shoot with friends I haven't seen or shot with in a long time.
1st Icore match since 2021 and I missed it.
Wife and I both...
.22 revolvers of all brands can have hard ejection. When a .22 revolver comes thru the shop I always ream the cylinder with a SAMMI spec reamer and that usually takes care of the problem unless the customer requests not to.
Some guns will run fine right from the factory and some will tighten up...
FWIW Mod 52 mags can be modded to hold 6 rounds and even heard of 7 rounds working.
I did mine to 6 rounds when I was shooting combat leagues in the winter with 6 round strings.
Original mags are probably to valuable to do the mods too now but aftermarket(triple K I believe is doing them) would...

If yours has adjustable rear sights XS has a replacement rear blade with a insert in it also.
You will have to measure...
Beautiful day on the range Saturday.
I haven't done a classifier match in 30 years but I went to this one to deliver a couple of guns I worked on to a shooter and shot my Revolver in a different division just messing around.
6 stages and they were all newer stages with movement so it was...
Just got one of these but haven't used it yet. Lot less Hassel than carrying skyscreens and wires and timer for old chrono.
After looking it over it is slick but very basic.
I would bet version 2 will have functions for ES and SD and maybe power factor for the shooting games and be more expensive.
This in from Gary.
THIS IS A CLASSIFIER MATCH.
Remember Owensboro is on slow time.
Our March ORPCI USPSA Pistol Match is this Friday/Saturday (3/15-16/24). Sign-up from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM and shoot at 10:00 AM both days. Shoot either day or both days. The new shooters meeting will be held at...
Well I read this thread a while back:rolleyes: and just LOL.
Been using FO in competition for almost 15 years and never broke one.
First USPSA match of the year and it was a 8 stage match and making ready on stage 7 the fiber was gone.
What was I to do.:runaway:
Well I shot the last two stages...
Thanks to everyone who helped setup and run the match.
Actually turned out to be a decent day.
Thanks Craig and Jody.
Fun day and great to be back on the range.
Silver Creek Conservation Club also shoots first Saturday. Might be a easier trip if you are on the South Side.
New range is North of Henryville in Underwood just off of 65.
Yes a gun should never leave the factory in that condition but to be fair I have had quite few S&W revolvers in the shop that left the factory with timing issues. Had several that went back for a fix and then came to me to fix it after S&W didn't get it right. Also the old S&W’s were even worse...
I've Worked on several Taurus Revolvers over the years including a new 856 and they are fine and a decent value.
Like anything else you get what you pay for and they are not S&W quality or Ruger for that matter but they seem well made and ANY manufacture can let bad ones get out.
The 856 I just...
State of the art Revolvers. That sounds funny even saying it.
Top gun is a USPSA/ICORE gun. It is a 929 S&W 8 shot gun with the 9mm Titanium cylinder removed and a Steel 38 super cylinder installed. Gun has action job and different sights installed. Probably around 25k rounds thru it.
Bottom gun...
