      If your looking for something good in mid range magnum loads try HS6. My practice rounds in 44 Magnum are 12 Grains of HS6 with a 250 Grain lead SWC.

      I've always just used gas checks on gas check designed bullets. I've read the arguments on both sides and decided just to use gas checks.

      +1 on Smoke's Powder I clean with Acetone Tumble for 20 Minutes Shake of excess Dump or stand up on Non-Stick Foil I smash a couple after baking for 20 minutes in a convection toaster oven. Make sure you get an oven thermometer! It will save you allot of headaches. Finished Product

      I've pushed my powder coated bullets in the 454 Casull, 460 S&W Magnum and the 500 S&W Magnum without leading a barrel using low BHN alloy.
