      Crossbow Ranges

      I'm looking for an archery range in central Indiana that allows crossbows. I just need to site in, so i don't need anything fancy. Thanks for you help.

      Weather helping out for once

      Saturday is going to be a great day for an all day hunt. Can't wait. Most corn is in, so deer will be in the woods. Good luck fellas.

      Most versatile hunting gun

      a Pump 20 Gauge will take whatever you want. Waterfowl, quail, bunnies, deer, yotes, turkey. Having a rifle barrel for deer would help. Heck, you could get by with a .410 if needs be.

      Savage arms 12 guage for deer. .410, .22 and sometimes a 20 gauge H%R Pump for upland game.

      Ya it's pretty popular. I had a family walk by me on opening day of gun season, staring at their cell phone trying to find something. Wearing no orange. Not smart.

      The place is FULL of does. You could take 2 or three in a day if it was allowed. Bucks are rare.

      I've seen plenty on farm land. Probably a few more than normal.

      Favorite way to split pelvic and breast bone

      I use the butt out and then whack the pelvis with a hatchet. For the ribs, a knife and some pressure does the trick. Since you can check game in on your phone, I think you can remove the hams at carside and throw in a cooler if your worried about the temperature.

      By hunting season fawns are able to survive just fine without mama. I'd aim for the biggest of the group.

      I've only had it happen once and I let the yote walk, but in the future I would take the shot.

      357. Mag For deer hunting

      Nothing against a .44, .357, .454. or a wildcat combo, but Don't sicount the good ole 12 gauge with a rifled barrel. A goo 12 can get you up to 200 yards with much greater knockdown power than most Indiana deer legal rifles (most not all)

      Slow day. saw 2 before 9 but nothing after. Very few shots on public ground.
