      Residential Zero Turn Mower

I'll share my ZTR experience, although it is a bit dated. We've owned the following, all purchased slightly used: GRASSHOPPER - had the Kubota 3 cyl diesel which ran perfectly that used about half the fuel as a gasser. But the older model chain drive reduction needed constant attention. Deck...

      Battery String Trimmer

Thanks for asking. LED Flashes some fault code of not charging. After watching a YouTube video about it, attempted to charge it with a separate power supply. When returned to the normal charger, it appeared to charge but reverted to the flashing LED of death.

      Battery String Trimmer

This spring I grabbed the handy Echo battery string trimmer and no joy - battery got too low over winter and won't recharge. It was good, handy quiet for two years and now dead. Replacement battery is nearly the cost of a whole new one. Picked up the old Echo SR-225 GASOLINE string trimmer...

SAR 9 Ergo like an HK VP9 and exhaustively tested. Got mine for $240.

      Going Against The Grain

It is all good until it isn't. All depends on how serious you are about preparing for defensive gun use. It's okay if you don't expect the need for defensive gun use. America is still kind of free, its your choice. But you will have to live with any implications.

Are all AR15's built the same?

Welcome to the world of AR builds, its been called "Legos for Adults" for good reason. Better quality factory builds are usually a bit more predictable than home built, but many a home-build of good parts has been flawless. Plus it is really nice to know what exactly is inside your personal...

How Often Do You Have To Clean a Gun (Really)?

Seems previous comments focused on guns getting dirty from shooting. Since I carry everyday, and only shoot maybe monthly, in my experience daily carry of a pistol, both IWB and on duty belt, ends up with a lot of dust accumulation. I find I need to clean about every 2 weeks. And it prevents...

Buy it for life, do it all .357?

For SHTF, TEOTWAWKI, etc. nothing beats the Rugers (GP, SP, _Six) IMO because they are the only revolver that can be easily FIELD STRIPPED. Drop the Ruger DA revolvers in muddy water, they can be disassembled without tools (a coin or knife for the grip screw) and cleaned. Can't do that with a...

      Your Perfect 1911.....

My perfect 1911 would have a more reliable extractor, eliminate the hammer, eliminate the thumb safety, be much lighter, eliminate feeding problems, have double stack magazine, and have better corrosion resistance and overall reliability. Oh and be way cheaper. I think they call them Glock 21.

Is Mossberg 930 a Good Choice for Me?

Friend and I both both 930s. Both went back to Mossberg for repair. Mine still doesn’t run right. - I am not a SG fan. Too big, heavy, slow to load, hard to sling and maneuver in a house. - why not get a quality pistol for similar money? Or a carbine? Or a 10/22? Even a compact bolt gun...

      Bulk Storage

I just pour the sugar into the bucket. No bags.

Do you carry around the house?

Maybe it is just me and my “body type” but the pistol in IWB holster plays a big role in keeping my pants in position. So yes I EDC everywhere to keep my drawers up! There has been two times in last few months when I was suddenly confronted at home and did not have time to up-arm. Stay ready...

      Bulk Storage

Check your buckets every year or so. Some of my recycled food buckets developed cracks (splits) on the bottom. I keep sugar in buckets with gamma lids without mylar bags, has not clumped after 4 years.

      Political Signage vs. Security Concerns

I cannot agree with this point. All the socialist politicians were VOTED into office, so voting alone is NOT the answer. Voting only for leaders that support liberty, freedom, the constitution, etc. is the answer. Not sure a yard sign of any kind opens the eyes of those that need it. I...

      Women with guns IV

Except for the Glock slide locked back (stupid cold range rule or bad practice?), picture perfect. I appreciate actual shooting gals as opposed to posers.
