I actually understand what you are talking about. I haven't so much gotten to the point of 'I don't need anymore' but rather have become very selective in what I have an want vs simply having a 'one of everything' attitude.
As a result, I've been thinnin' down the safe stash these past few...
They definitely market themselves in a 'teaser' play...
They've even marketed that payment scheme on the radio...
'Earn up to $1200 per month when you donate plasma!'
No issues...I do know that if one doesn't hit the 12 donates per month number, it doesn't pay the same for the less than 12 visits either, I just don't know what they pay in that situation?
I have a friend who's sister works at a BioLife Plasma center in Fort Wayne...the numbers are what I was told.
I do know that one has to go through a health screening and certain medical conditions can either inhibit or limit the frequency of donations.
I believe one can earn $1200 per month if they donate plasma 3 x per week, over four consecutive weeks. That's over $15,000 annually, if one is consistent in their donations during that time!
A friend of mine is a Range Safety Officer (SRO) with the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation (GSSF) and he loves it!
He lives in NW Ohio and travels anywhere from 2-4-6 hours to assist at various matches (OH, IN, MI, KY, PA, and WV) on host weekends! He's been trying to get me to become an SRO...
First, congratulations on a nephew completing his training program and entering the workforce as a productive member of society!
Second...I've had people who, initially say, they don't like the looks or the color of the Glock 19X...but after they shoot it, they go 'Wow, that shoots really nice!'...
Another consideration might be the Ruger P-97...takes the same magazine as the P-90, but is in a polymer frame thus, lighter, and is also made of the toughest polymer on the market! Accurate as heck too! It's similar in size to the SIG P-220.
