      Federal Monthly Ammo Subscription

People with money have money because they tend to care. Ammo companies are counting on folks who repeatedly engage in panic buying during periods of hype.

      Sharpening systems. Which one?

Yea, KO Work Sharp is hard to beat. For most sharpening chores, my go to solution. In about 2-4 minutes you get close to factory sharpness where experts use belt grinders at a fraction of the time.

Ammo Prices...Seem to be coming down

A recent article provides thoughtful commentary on the shortage: https://prospect.org/economy/great-american-ammunition-conspiracy/ On the other hand, we still see journalists reporting there is a significant ammo shortage, acting as spokespeople for those that engage in price gouging and...

      Motorcycle Riders?

Second what t-squared said. Additionally, you can contact the tire manufacturer and get their recommendation. For Michelin, https://www.michelinman.com/assistance has links to motorcycle tires. When I had questions about Avon Cobra's they put me in touch with a rep who was able to address them...

      Motorcycle Riders?

Yes on gear, stay alert, and ride safe. You have all the motivation in the world to mitigate risk.

      Motorcycle Riders?

Although I agree with all three points and always ride with helmet and protective gear, I don't agree harping it when a fellow rider passes away. It is legal for adults not to wear helmets in Indiana, and it is up to each individual to decide what is best for them. It's no one else's business...

      Amen to that.

      Motorcycle Riders?

Definitely agree on running lights as it's one of the first mods I make to a bike. However, it's important not to go overboard and think it's a solution by itself. Complacency begets us all, even under the best of circumstances. A loud horn helps as factory ones are usually not worth much. Less...

      Motorcycle Riders?

Nice bike. You're more likely to bump into big foot than see a Victory on the street. Like classic Mustangs and Vettes, they'll become collector items.

Thanks for sharing. Hope the surgeon fixes things up like new but for a few scuff marks.

      Beretta M9A4 released

With the safety/decocker located in the slide, I think LTT had to re-engineer some of the internals to free up real estate. I debated sending the slide to LTT to get milled and some of the internals replaced. I went with getting Trijicon's dovetail mount which had a thin adapter plate, probably...

      Beretta M9A4 released

One of the pictures suggests M9A4's solution is not a true native mount but just two slots cut on the slide to mount an adapter that sits on top. A "cheapo" solution not like LTT's. It does leave the rear dovetail intact so has the potential benefit of co-witnessing if there are sufficiently...

New CZ 75 D PCR first time at the range

Just switching out the hammer spring to #15, 16 or higher will increase DA and SA pull weight. A P01 with CGW pro kit should still have smooth DA trigger pull, and short reset and reduced reach which come with it. What is suited for EDC depends on the individual.

New CZ 75 D PCR first time at the range

PCR factory hammer spring weight is 20#. SP01's spring rate will likely fall between 17-20# but that's not saying much.

New CZ 75 D PCR first time at the range

No one seems to have an authoritative answer on why the DA trigger pull on a PCR can be noticeably heavier than a SP01. Some say there is no difference. The internals of PCR and SP01 are the same and interchangeable (except for the recoil spring). Since DA trigger pull is primarily determined by...
