The range was never supervised at all in the short time I was a member and is part of a park that includes a fishing pond , a building that they rent out and some playground equipment. The front gate to the park is always open during the season and membership there includes the gun range.

Shot at this range outside of Dunkirk a few years ago but became tired of repeated safety violations like others opening fire when I'm downrange posting targets. That was it for me. Saw they now did this to the range??? At least the yahoos that fired when I was down range would have had a excuse...
Wow! King Cobra 22lr , I have never seen one yet! Hard to beat that Dan Wesson! Of my 3 DA 22lr revolvers , 617-1 4" , 617-5 6" and Taurus 96 the 6" 617 is the most accurate.
I used to shoot in the indoor Muncie Pistol club league matches in late 1980s to mid 1990s and once used a Smith Model 66 snub nose and came in second to a guy using a Model 52! Back in the day when I could see open sights I would have really enjoyed owning a 52.
In my early 60s and I am at the point where I am more likely to get rid of guns instead of buying them. Can't see open sights well at all and have guns just sitting around that won't be fired anytime soon. I even made a resolution of sorts to NOT buy any guns in 2024 but to upgrade the ones that...
Shot the Victory again yesterday at 25 yards on a rest , thought I was centered on first target with CCI Std. Vel. but a little right but still in the white center. Usually don't try high velocity for target but decided to give it a try and not bad. Mini Mag for me is the best Hi-Vel 22lr ammo...
Yes most likely wouldn't hurt to try a little more power! Years ago had a Burris 2X-7X PA scope on my Contender 22lr match and shot the best target groups at 25 and 50 yards of any handgun I ever owned. At one time the TC 22 match shot the best 50 yard target I ever fired rifles included!
My...
Some nice shooting! The Charger and long barrel Buckmark are well suited for optics shooting from a rest. I hope to eventually get the motivation to scope my 10" MKII again and have a shoot off against my my 10" Contender and Ruger Charger with KIDD barrel.
At least I know with the Victory if I don't shoot a 100 score at 25yds its not the fault of the gun! First time I tested a scoped handgun from a rest that wasn't a TC or Ruger Charger in a while. Had a white sticky circle the size of the 10 ring which gave a more visible aiming point , of...
Only DA 45 autos I have experience with are a German Sig P220 , a German frame P220 Carry and original year Ruger P90 . Still own the P220 Carry and the Ruger P90.
The original grips with both P220s had about as much grip texture as a bowling ball , replaced the original P220 grips with Hogues...
doddg , here is one you should remember! Have not shot it much in a while until recently. Had installed a Tandemkross trigger and did not care for it at all and it just sat in the safe. Finally got the motivation to reinstall the original trigger a few weeks ago.
Then I thought it would be nice...
I mean its your gun do as you please. With that said I can't really think of any reason that I want to release the slide full force on an empty chamber. I don't do it until I have rounds in the mag . To me the sound of it has always been annoying at best.
