Possibly over coal heated stove, which has sulfur, which generates sulfuric acid when burned in combo with humidity. Years of coal fired heat from way back when. That’s my theory anyway.
Yes, packed well, undamaged. Usually a little more humid than I’d like, but not bad. Also have ordered from Mike’s, Famous, Pipes & Cigars, and others, with no issues.
Logs and notes and all are fine, but I just found after a few years of trying out a different cigar almost every smoke that I would start to go back to a few that were memorable enough to not need a log. I’m pretty much down to 5 that are my favorites, and may try a new stick here or there, but...
A vote for the WSM. It’s affordable, has no electrical parts, and for the relative lack of labor, puts out some dang good food. I’ve had mine for about 15 years and it’s still going strong. Have not needed to replace anything on it.
You’re gonna (or already have) started a BBQ argument, lol...
Those slick-slides are beautiful. The Beretta D actions are sleepers.
I have a Beretta Mini-Cougar 8000D. I love the revolver-like trigger, plus no safety.
I’d like to find a 92D with that kind of patina.
