Have to agree with stack23, the Ruger is a good inexpensive gun that can be upgraded. We started with one and I still use it when i want to plink and dont want to spend a lot or kill my shoulder.

10/22's are great rifles, thats what we started with a couple years ago. Evcen though we moved to the more high powered rifles, as Dorian Gray said, they are still great guns to plink with, plus the ammo is cheap too! :yesway:

Went with dad to the 1500 on Friday. Didn't find any great deals on guns, but bought a spam can of ammo for my Mosin and some other cleaning stuff that I needed. Had a good time but $10 is sort of expensive for admission.
