    Ok. I'll admit it.
I bought a mini 30 several years ago because rifle cartridges were just legal for deer hunting in IN and I really didn't know any better. At this point I've spent so much time trying to make it work I kind of like it.
I have had a mini 30 for about 20 years. It works fine. What problems are you having with yours?

I love the looks of the Marlin 1895 and the mares leg. Don't have either, but I'd probably consider trading my wife for the pair. Uh, please don't tell her I said that.
I bought my wife a Henry mare's leg a few years ago. She admired the mare's leg Zoey used in "Firefly."

Zoey was more accurate with it. :-)

I know where you can get a really nice mark three lol the Mark fours are overrated and I’ve never been as accurate as the Mark threes for me
I have a MKII. The reason for the IV was for the mag release location. But if they are not nicer than my MKII or my TC22C then I can scratch that one, lol.

In all honesty IMO they are not. Especially if you’re proficient cleaning them. The draw of mk iv for most is the the ease of breakdown but I think it does impact accuracy

You can probably guess what I'm into by my username.

My grail gun is an original SVD. Will probably never have the rubles to justify spending the ~$30k on one, and I do have a Serbian M91 to kinda scratch the itch. But man, would I love a legit Dragunov.

As far as grail guns, for me it would be a nice Venezuelan contract FN49 in 7 x 57 and an Astra A-80 in 38 super that came with extra mags :)

The real early ones had .308 barrels trying to shoot .311 surplus ammo. Ruger finally caved and went with a .311 barrel and they will all shoot lights out.

Some say they won't shoot steel cased ammo, I do not have that problem. Mine eats everything I feed it without so much as a burp.
