I’m a motor vehicle physical damage appraiser for an insurance company by trade. A 40# dog could definitely do that amount of damage to the bumper (minus the pre-existing curb gouges), but the A/C hasn’t worked since long before the incident in question. Tell him to go fly a kite.

If you need an estimate for your dog, my sister is a Veteranarian.
You should see the damage a man can do to some pos that hits his friend.

    Just kidding.

No one would ever see it.

Tell her "Thank you for your service." for me please.

A dog with the cone of shame in the dog world is like Ralphy with the pink rabbit pajamas, they hope no other dog sees him. Glad he is doing well!

Road hazards; potholes, deer, a tree branch... I'm not going to go after someone if I hit their dog.
But, then again I'm not a scumbag. Or so I've been told.

I would think the scratches are from before the panel was hit and twisted up from running over curbs and parking spaces stops.

Unless the dog was covered in 80 grit sandpaper.

You got a tough dog. Wife hit a coon with her Versa and did $2500 damage. Plus towing cause it took out transmission line. And not even a dead coon on the road to show for it.

They definitely earn a place deep in our hearts. This is Gus, my go anywhere anytime frisbee machine. Been my best buddy for 10 years. Pic is boys day out at the farm playing frisbee in the mud. Wife gave us grief when we got home, and a bath. He is the best dog we have ever had. Recently have had to help him in and out of the truck as he is slowing a bit, the truck sits high. Will address this at the vet next visit.
