I see one of those murals right across the tracks from Bite the Bullet. Probably paid for by some kind of grant ?

If I recall correctly, yes. As well as the others on Chestnut/2nd and downtown area. I like the collage one, but the mellenheads can melt off hopefully.

It’s really disappointing how some of these people get famous by traveling their ass off and putting on a great show, only to grow old and get all pissy and turn into a drama queen. I mean I get it, you want people to pay attention and be respectful of everyone else in the audience, but why do all the political talk during a show?

I remember seeing him in Louisville gardens when he was still Johnny cougar, and it was a great show because he came out and did his songs, and kept his mouth shut in between.

Springsteen used to be like that when he was a younger man. He would play for 2 1/2 to 3 hours at his concerts. Great shows, first time I watched him was at Cole Field House as a opener for Chuck Berry. They ended up also behind Chuck Berry for his act.

Google just recomended this article at the top of the list for me...

Yet that didn't stop one ticket-holder from shouting at Mellencamp to "play the ****ing music" after he reportedly appeared to criticize the United States. That's when the gloves came off.

"Listen, hey, you guys, if these people don't shut the **** up I'm just going to leave, OK?" Mellencamp told the audience. "Because I'm not used to this crap. Look, guys, if I wanted to play in this type of drunken environment, I'd play outside or I'd play in an arena."

The "Pink Houses" singer issued a similar warning during a March performance in Grand Prairie, Texas, telling the crowd before the midshow acoustic portion, "This is the quiet part, so keep your ****ing mouth shut,"

I didn't even know the Mellencamp kids were still around here? I assumed maybe they hightailed out for better places when their mom did?
