    Democrats aren't the issue?
Who do you think the press works for most of the time?

I'm just glad to see a police department offer up a high speed, professional response that stopped it from being much worse.

My above post references McCarthy choosing not to call a vote admonishing the ATF for the brace ban TODAY. :n00b:

Optics matter. Don't give the press/dems/libs, (whatever you want to call them) fuel for their gun control fire to take the news away from mental illness. Let the loons burn this story out on trans mental illness, like they are doing. Let the mentally ill trans community act out on this, just like they are doing.

I stopped reading at “genocidal eradication of trans people from society.”

It started out pretty sane and then got very irrational very quickly. If that’s the collective response they’re certifiably collectively nutters.
Endless consumption of these greivance narratives plus a dose of HRT roid rage equals...?

If you genuinely believe that a group of which you are a member is facing "genocidal eradication", you can justify most anything in defense of your group.

Now I doubt the person who wrote that really believes it, but every group has it fringes. And when those nutters out there on the fringe start buying the BS, they are going to lash out.

The suicide rate for members of the trans community is CRAZY high...

Suicide and Suicidal Behavior among Transgender Persons

Forty-one percent of the transgender persons in the United States attempt for suicide at least once in their life.[8] In San Francisco, the prevalence of attempted suicide among transgender persons is 32%, among young age (<25 years) it is 50%

It's not a stretch to think that an increasing number of people who are told they are faced with "genocidal eradication" will decide to take a few of their oppressors out with them.

I won't be shocked at all when this loon's manifesto is released that the Christian component of the school was a big part of the target selection.

It is a big stretch to think elementary school kids are their oppressors!

Body cam footage of the cops engaging the abomination in cqb

Make wonder why some locals and departments are so obviously transparent with the public vs others that seem like nothing is immune from "cannot speak to that, still under investigation?"

So many departments, including nearly everything around here, have multiple press conferences a day to tell us absolutely nothing.

Sure is what it sounded like to me. I thought I might have been mistaken the first time they called it out, but then the way the camera footage went you could see it in action.

Differerent officers, different weapons, all moving and communicating as a cohesive unit, being commanded by a leader. The leader giving commands from the time of going through the door. No fooling around. Not a wasted second.

    Impressive work.
Impressive indeed! You have to figure that no matter how much training they do it would be statistically impossible for their training to match the situation, which buddy shows up early enough to go in with, how many, what weapons combo your team has to work with... they were communicating, pie slicing, room clearing machines! Deciding/changing/deploying the guy/weapon for the job depending on the room...
    Just, wow!

And make this required viewing for all departments nationwide. With the note "if you are not prepared to do this, you may turn in your badge at the end of your shift or request an immediate transfer to an unarmed position such as administrative, parking enforcement, etc."
Not just law enforcement...but for anyone who has a firearm and an opinion about what they could/would/should do in a similar situation.

I'm probably getting caught up in the weeds here but I'm wondering if Audrey Hale was really transgender?

My thinking is that most people who are seriously having a gender issue try to transition to the opposite sex. Thus the word "transgender."

However, I haven't seen anything on AH's treatment for her issue. Maybe it is too soon and we'll find out more later, but so far nothing.

All I've seen is that she wanted to be referred to as he/him/male. Wanting that isn't the same thing as being transgender. A person truly struggling with gender issues does more than just ask to be referred to but takes additional steps including but not limited to hormone therapy, counseling, and finally surgical alteration.

If she wasn't doing any of this then in my mind she wasn't really transgender, but rather a person who was suffering from some serious mental health issues.

I'm left wondering if she had deeper issues and was perhaps simply bullied at this school for being different, and then turned that rage into something vile and evil?

Some might say my curiosity is irrelevant but I don't believe so. We study serial killers and other criminals so as to better detect them and help them, and all of us, at an earlier stage of development. We'll never stop these things because we are not perfect, but we can work toward reducing them - perhaps significantly.

    Regards,

    Doug

The hormone / roid rage angle would certainly be something to know more about. If she was getting shot up with various juices that are not a normal product of the female body...well. I sure wouldn't want to be the clinic that was juicing her, right now. America may be compassionate to deviant persons, but doctors, notsa much. And there are lots of lawyers.

So for 11 years being transgender is no longer a mental illness. I guess that is how people with this mental illness can legally buy firearms now.
    FINALLY!
I've always felt like a leader since I was young. But my stupid birth certificate misidentified me as Blain, rather than the Napoleon that I've always known I am.
I guess as Emperor of France, my credit score should be through the roof when I apply for a new credit card.

Unless she was a PhD candidate, 28 years old is way the he.. beyond "school age." There had to be something else going on. Nothing personal towards you, but people automatically jumping on the bullying angle is getting old. You do not know if she was bullied, or not. It's at least possible she was treated like a straight-up Disney Princess. We don't know.

She was seriously mentally ill and being treated by a doctor for it. Her family and possibly friends knew this and knew she had had weapons. It would have be nice for them to have followed up on their knowledge.
