Looking for a bolt .22 with a threaded barrel. Don't want to spend too much. I already have a tricked out 10/22. Just looking for a rimfire bolt gun I can also put the suppressor on. I believe they are right around $529.00 or so. Any thoughts? I like the looks.

I don't have the target...I do have the regular American Rimfire with threaded barrel. I'm still waiting on my first supressor to get out of ATF jail, but I've been trying to accumulate some hosts while I wait.

It was a bit rough out of the box. It needed some polishing on the bolt handle and receiver to smooth things up. I had to deburr the chamber mouth as well.

Accuracy is ok, but just ok. I tried a bunch of different ammo...CCI Blazer seemed to be the best of the cheap stuff in mine. Groups were shot at 50 yards off a front rest, no rear bag, with iron sights: 52605594490_4950c78733_o.jpg

Thanks for the input. I have sort of heard that the accuracy was so, so. Not too bad for irons and only a front rest. I am not the best shooter out there so I might not notice. Not sure what to think. Again, thanks for the details.

Looks like your rifle is going to demand that $20+ a box ammo, or change the barrel and hope it likes something a little less expensive.

Yeah...or at least I'll be stocking up on CCI Blazer when I can find it. Kinda wishing I'd bought the CZ457 :-/. On the upside, the modular stock on this one makes it easy to shorten and my kids enjoy shooting it.

You want a good bolt gun that won't break the bank , savage or CZ . Both rifles will shoot! Good trigger, good stocks, no need to change barrels or upgrade triggers.
Rugers are not know for that fantastic accuracy, they are an entry level price point gun.

I did stay away from their "rimfire target" I budgeted $200 more on top of their asking price and got me a CZ 457 MTR 20.5" barrel and the difference is lightyears between the 2 of them.
