    He's not been diagnosed with it, so I don't know if it's that or just dementia.
    Sadly, Alzheimer's is dementia, but dementia isn't Alzheimer's.
    And it can't be determined, with certainty, which it is until the person passes and an autopsy is completed.
    Both Alzheimer's and dementia, run on both sides of the Mrs. family. Her grandmother had Alzheimer's to the
    worst degree. It's terrible to see someone degrade from those diseases.

    My parents both have mild dementia. I'm not looking forward to what will happen if it gets to the point they can't be at home but I see it as a real possibility in the future. I guess it depends on how long they live. Mom is 88 today. She is 11 days younger than dad. Things are already getting kind of questionable related to them being there on their own.
