For some reason I remember seeing the announcement about the "no pistols with braces" rule. Not sure if it was just a post or what now.

I believe that's what the OPs whole argument was about. Mod said no or something, OP looked everywhere and found no rule posted at the time. That's when it became open season. OP wasn't satisfied with the initial answers and here we are, 6 pages later.

OP doesnt understand the law. Today, these assembled braced pistols are already considered unregistered SBRs, but we are in a grace period. (A brace itself is not a NFA item.)

That is why we dont want them posted here. They are technically NFA items. But the procedure for transferring them isnt solidified and may not even be necessary if this all shakes out in our favor.

We never "email" users. Ever. Everything is either a sticky or PM here. (I dont even know if there is a way to broadcast a message to all via PM)

Since its not a huge thing that the majority of users do, we have been notifying users about the hopefully temporary rule as they break it, and so far the vast majority have resulted in a "thanks. I understand" and they comply. Some just go away and dont get put back up. Some just comply. This guy is a red herring.

We didn't want to bring lots of attention to the issue by making a big deal about it. And since there is no penalty for breaking the rule itself, having it unwritten due to its (hopefully) temporary nature, we apply it quietly and respectfully as it comes up. You break this unwritten rule, we let you know, and you comply. No big deal for adults.

Well, thanks for that, but i was only being condescending on the printed in red words. That was an overflow remark from the other day when JettaKnight said something about the reading the last new rule and i said comically " so only the rules are in red and the other stuff is suggestions".. something along those lines.

Hey everyone look at me. I had a distasteful mod interaction in a private conversation that I want you all to know about. Man, there are far more important things to fret over in life than what took place in a private conversation around here. Trust me I know and am dealing with some serious life issues right now. I'm sure the mods have had to take quite a bit of abuse from a Richard in a private conversation that they never aired out in the open forum. Get over it, move on.
