Being that a REAL Assault Rifle is a full automatic, select fire rifle, virtually unobtainable by civilians, I'm unable to answer the question.
A semi-automatic only rifle cannot by definition be an Assault Rifle.

I used my M-4 in Iraq on SEMI auto. Burst is the worst, hajis die better with well placed, AIMED shots. Besides, I had 2 SAWS in my squad, with a PIG to level mud huts in BFI. If the PIG couldn't get the enemy his virgins, I could call in an air strike. Nothing let's you meet Allah, like a 30mm Vulcan cannon!!!! I cannot forget Ma Duece. Well placed 50 BMG, belt fed...if you have enough, the clay walls turn back into the desert in which they came from.....and the blood just soaks into the ground. So, no I never used my ASSAULT WEAPON in assault mode, total waste of government resources......but belt fed

I mean, it's not like the Supreme Court has ever held that the Second Amendment specifically applies to weapons that are appropriate for military use.....or has it?

I do not have a rifle that assaulted anyone.

I was assaulted by a guy when I was working a paper route. Delivered a blade under his left jaw.

Only assault I recall came from some ***hole.

Sans the effort to comtrol people, have never seen anything but bull**** in bull**** such as this.
