As for the product, it doesn't matter much to me. I only use Excel and word.

It is a download so quit your yip, yip, yipping, jedi.

As others said it's highly unlikely that the computer came with a LICENSED copy of Ms office on it.

Normally it has a trial version or an UNACTIVATED unlicensed version which will work ok for under 30 days before it stops working unless you buy the license.

Right, maybe the store was being nice and installed the stuff you bought so all you need to do is activate it. But then who knows what is going on. It is too hard to tell with no information.

So I'm always dumb but yesterday I bought a new computer, And I figured I would need Microsoft products for it so I bought a $250 business home and business.

Last night I charged up the computer and today I started it up to get it all set up and I found out that it already had all the Microsoft products on it.

The card I bought is not refundable so is there anybody here who could use it make me an offer.
Tom, can you post exactly which computer you bought?

Post a pic of the software you bought also, not displaying the license key.

That will help with others giving you some friendly advice.

Sorry for the inconvenience you're going thru.

They profiled and pulled predatory sales tactics on you. Did they offer you a 3 1/2 floppy A with AOL as well?

I still have clients with AOL emails. Unbelievable. I still remember waiting 5 minutes every time you'd turn it on for it to load content. And then at least once every hour it would do the same.

They were the only game in town, for a short time. Then Netnitco started selling or giving away floppy disks in every gas station.

The world was a better place when it was black and white.

Found this pic of me and Cookie 20' up in the old willow beside the house after my folks had passed. Clearing out 'stuff' and going through old family albums,....never knew this pic existed. Wish they were still here so I could ask them about it. Taking a picture doesn't seem like something Dad would do. Not screaming at me to get out of that **** tree doesn't sound like something Mom would do. One of them had to snap the pic.

This would have been 1968 probably. Moved here in '67 and Cookie pretty much met us at the door(we'd been a dog only family up until then,.....haven't been without a cat or six since). Sure they had color back then but po' folk continued to live in a black and white world for a few more decades. I don't think we got our first color TV until the '80's.

I'd go back in a heartbeat.

When I set up the computer, My Microsoft came up and said that I had a full one year license for 365 and at the end of the year I would be built $99 for each additional year and if there was a change in pricing I would be informed.

Sounds like what came installed was their "subscription" based office where you never own the software you just rent it yearly.

The download you bought was it their subscription based? Or does it say an actual product name. The concern with the download is that MS at some point in the future can just discontinue hosting that file/version and force you to buy their latest version since the software won't be available for download anymore.

jedi is still running MS Office 2000 via physcial disc for this exact reason.
