This is another perfect example of the fact that our lawmakers are not only completely biased towards their own agenda and fear mongering but that the common person has been almost completely stripped of his capacity to defend his/herself. It is completely insane for people living in this state to continue promoting further gun restriction. I mean insane in the classical sense in that trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results is in fact insane.

Twitter was screeching with claims the shooter was unquestionably a white caucasian cisgender Ultra-MAGA, a card carrying NRA member, a Domestic Terrorist wearing a red MAGA ballcap, and shouting hateful Asian ethnic slurs while blazing away with his fully semi-automatic assault rifle equipped with high capacity magazines holding hundreds of rounds.

The above is a collage of what I saw posted by various looneys. It's all about blaming it on Ultra-MAGA Q-Anon Trumpies and the NRA who love their guns more than human life that are blocking the banning and seizure of all guns. That there isn't a shred of truth to any of it doesn't matter. It's all about the narrative. After a few minutes of getting the Twitter Temperature I closed the browser tab in disgust.

A little off topic but what makes something a "high powered rifle" in media terms? When I think high powered rifle I think 30-06, .308, 50, etc. How can you say you heard what sounded like a high powered rifle inside? A 9mm is going to be very loud inside. Does an ar chambered in 9mm constitute being a "high powered rifle"?

From what I've seen, anything except a .22 LR... unless it has a $30 4x scope, then it's a "sniper rifle"

He said that he believes that type of weapon is not legal in California, but that more "research" was needed”. So, now is every pistol going to be labeled an “assault pistol”, whatever the heck that is?

Wait, if the pistol wasn’t legal in commiefornia, how did he have one. He should have known it was illegal and used an approved pistol to murder others which also happens to be illegal but he seemed to have ignored that too..
