    A holler in Kentucky
This is why you go for the hot but extremely crazy ones, the ex boyfriend doesn’t want to be anywhere on her radar! Swear to god!

Edit: maybe should have put this in purple.

There was a guy back in the 70s and 80s on Louisville radio, Ron Clay, now THAT guy was funny! I wasn’t aware of Bob and Tom back then, but I’ve always considered them to be cheap imitations of ol’ uncle Ron.
Makes me miss the good old days of Chicago radio of 70s and 80s. Steve Dahl and Garry Meier were **** your pants hilarious.

I could never get past the incessant cackling laughter. Made even the funniest bits annoying to listen to.

And half the time what we were hearing wasn’t nearly that funny. It felt like we were missing most of the bit due to visuals or they were just (over)easily amused.
I haven't listened since Mark Patrick was a fixture on the show.

It was great when it was new (and I was in high school)... kudos to them for making a mint laughing professionally.

Bob and Tom live days were usually pretty good, at least the bands were.

The Duke Tumatoe with Sam Kinnison "I wanna tie you up" session where Kristi Lee says "I think I'm wet" at the end is epic.

Never was the hugeest Duke Tumatoe fan (he’s great just too repetitive and not into colts) but man Duke and Sam?!? That was awesome.

I got my first radio in junior high when these guys were just hitting their stride, I left it on all night and woke up to Bob and Tom. I’m sure that warped me a bit.

    Live day was always awesome.

The overlaughing (I’ve suspected even a laugh track at times?) is no different than the animal stories posted above, I wonder if they took a que from that?

They deserve kudos as the longest running show by miles. They’re the gold standard of their field. As far as the commercialization, that’s the world we live in now. Pretty tempting to take that money. What else are they going to do, go out on the moral high ground?

All that being said, all of us angry old men yelling at clouds about the state of the world, well, in my opinion, these guys brought a lot of that on. They’ve had a worldwide influence to minimize morality, normalize debauchery, glorify sex, and generally help rip down the moral fabric of society.

Haha pretty much! Dropped off at grandmas when parents went out of town, grandma couldn't believe I could do homework and listen to rock and roll radio at the same time... "The rock and roll will make you hyper" literal quote.

    Dad was definitely a rocker.
