9mm none HP ammunition is cheaper now than a person can reload it with primers costing 10+ cents each.
Least expensive 9mm I have found recently was $280/1k of 115gr

I have been reloading 125 grain loads for about $.19/rnd with the components I currently have (summit city bullets). Still saving $$.

124gr bullets are 10 cents after tax and shipping.
Primers are 13 cents after tax and shipping if you are lucky.
Powder at 5.2gr is close to 4 cents after tax and shipping.
That is 27 cents for range ammo if you buy reloading components today.
I'm seeing factory ammo for that price or less.

My guess is that he is not paying shipping since Summit City is local. He is talking about 125 gn coated bullets. Their powder is about $30 lb. You can get small pistol primers for $10/rnd. Most ammo prices don't include tax. Apples to apples and all that.

Are those Remington Golden Bullets any better than they used to be? I used to think they were junk...

Norma has TAC-22 for the same price. Free shipping. It's a respectable standard velocity ammo.

The Golden Bullets seem to run fine in my 10/22's, Ruger Standard & Beretta. Not as clean as CCI's but I had very few duds or other issues.
If Norma's are same price I would choose the Norma's though.
