Yep. I stayed home today...not sure if I'll go out for a bit in Sunday or not. Will try again once or twice with the crossbow in December.

I'll try again this evening and maybe Saturday morning, but rain and wind is moving back in and all of Sunday looks like a washout. I really need to just pick a really good spot in the woods and build a weather proof stand.

I ended up working for a few hours today. It was supposed to be a comp day, but things came up on Wednesday afternoon. Hopefully I am done for the day.

Planning on going over to CameraMonkey's place this afternoon at some point to work on my Scorpion. I need to get myself a vice, and a better work bench, and storage.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with lots of good food, and family.

I haven’t even shot mine yet and I’m already looking at upgrades. I guess that’s part of the CZickness!

Da Boss informed me this morning that I had bought her a camera a couple years ago. I reminded her I guarantee my memory till my next breath.
A kodak az528, I am sure it is not MM quality, because I am a cheap arse. But I guess I can try and learn to use it to see if I enjoy it.
To repeat a quote often spoke here on INGO, it's not the arrow, but instead, the Indian. The Kodak would be great to build (or rebuild) skills with. Developing the eye for quality photography does not take high end equipment.

It's not MMs camera that takes beautiful pictures. The great camera just complements his skills to deliver beautiful pictures. My goal is to use my old 40D to rekindle the passion for photography that I had 40 years ago. If I can, I'll upgrade my camera before I retire. If not, a new camera won't make me a better photographer.

    Howdy folks.

I’ll throw my hat in the Bass and Bucks ring. Have not seen their range, but I have made the 2 hour round trip a handful of times for the good service and prices. If I can’t get my hands on something local, they have been an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Love all the photography talk. Have not picked up the camera for a week or so as the weather got cold and I didn’t want to go outside. Then the thanksgiving rush.

They are good people. I’ve bought a few things over the years and two of the boys have spent a small fortune in archery there.

Range trip was great. The oldest WANTED to go with me :alright::alright::alright:
This was his 3rd time out shooting with me.

Put first shots through the CZ. Man, I like this gun! The irons are dead on! I scattered some shots while getting the feel for the gun and trigger but it didn’t take me long to start making a decent group. My 11 year old son put 2 shots through the CZ and grouped them 2” apart at 15 yards. I was impressed! He’s a good listener and a quick learner.

    Good afternoon all!
Norm is feeling good and like I won the (GB) lottery :bacondance:

Picked up the new shiny today. Surplus, born in 1993 and it looks like it never had a shot fired through it! Got it for the minimum opening bid (and would have paid a bit more if I had been able to really see the condition in the GB pics

Here is how it looked when I bid

here are my pics. When I field stripped and cleaned there was ZERO carbon anywhere. Not a spec of dirt. A few slight dings and wear in the sharp edges but look like it was never even carried. I could not be more pleased with a GB purchase than this. Range report early next week.

You look awfully young in that picture. Grip and stance look good though.
