Did I miss something or is there not yet a Thanksgiving cooking/food thread?

Just got done cleaning, trimming and seasoning the bird. It is in the fridge to dry out a little and the neck, winglets and pieces parts are simmering with some veg for stock. Gravy will be 90% done tonight, pies from the fancy bakery are in.

Keeping it simple tomorrow. Roast turkey tjen while it rests a sheet pan of broccoli, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, carrots and red skin potatoes will roast for sides. Dressing of course as well.

Will be our Thanksgiving usual. Roasted Turkey using fresh Thyme, Rosemary, and garlic with butter, sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. Mashed garlic taters with homemade gravy. Corn from the summers local crop. Homemade stuffing. Homemade dinner rolls.

Nobody here a big pie fan so will be cheesecake with raspberries from the garden.

Will also make a batch of homemade eggnog.

Abbreviated Thanksgiving dinner for my 94 year old mom today and then up to Michigan for the full blown feast with my in-laws.

My wife and I stayed up late last night to get the turkeys on the smoker. Doing one for the neighbors across the street and one for us. She's also making mashed potatoes later today for a lunch. Her sister and my kids/nieces/nephews made a berry pie yesterday.

In a few days we're taking our talents to Fort Wayne to smoke another turkey there for my side of the family.

    Should be a good day.
