Let's ask a different questions. Was it necessary? Would you have signed for it?

No and no are my pronouns.
    Probably not, but maybe.

I do think some here are forgetting just how scary the first month or so of the scamdemic was. There was so much unknown, so much uncertainty in jobs and ability to do or even keep them. It is easy to Monday morning QB this stuff now but it was tricky.

Then there is the fact it was an election year. If that was what it took to keep a proven conservative president with a track record going instead of electing bidet I would do it in a heartbeat.

There is a difference between a couple that knock down $250,000 a year having $50,000 in credit card debt than than a couple making $75,000 a year. The state of the economy is always a factor in how negative borrowing money or printing money is…

Tax Cuts was Congress. [could not have passed without the president on board]
The Border was never secure. He STARTED to have more wall built.[you are not considering 'remain in Mexico' and its function as a disincentive to try crossing at all because catch and release wasn't happening. more to secure border than just a wall]
Historically low job participation went along with that unemployment rate.[On Friday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the unemployment rate held steady at a historically low 3.5% in December. Since February 2017, Trump's first full month in office, the monthly unemployment rate has averaged 3.9%. No prior president has averaged less than 4% over the first 35 months of his presidency. The closest was Dwight Eisenhower, when the rate averaged 4.3% between February 1953 and December 1955. from Washington Examiner article 10 Jan 2020]

I would put Nominating Gorsuch on the list. The other two not so much[I think the record of Republican SCOTUS appointments up until Trump's shows you can't always predict how a judge will act once on the court with only their record to extrapolate from. Even the one's you don't like are better than most]

He definitely did some good stuff, but you give him too much credit.

Well, I didn't make that claim.
My claim would be that it was 'more' secure, then became 'less' secure.

Could be multiple causes, or one cause.
[In my best jamil 'voice] Border security is not binary, there is a continuum of levels of security. I have carefully considered all of the relevant data and find that the border wasn't even secure when it was thought of as secure and will never be so unless inducements to jumping it are eliminated. Or Trump/Desantis 2024
This is not likely, if only for the constitutional reason of one would have to move their residency to count Florida’s EC votes. They lose them if both are from the same state.

Do you think the ego of either man could be second fiddle on a ticket? Trump could not. I highly doubt Desantis could either…

Easy. President Trump changes his resident statist back to NY.
I'm not sure he would want to so directly put himself back under the thumbs of a hostile AG and blue state machine where even the most spurious prosecutions would be tried in a liberal circuit

He could buy a ranch in Wyoming and become a resident there. Liz would pop a vein. Personally I think Idaho would be a good fit

Trump will nominate a woman as his running mate. Lake would be a very interesting choice.
I'd prefer if she could get some government experience, possibly executive experience.
But, with mysterious votes showing up late in the game, not sure how that'd happen.

Maybe if she moved to Indiana.

Right. Because having a fence of some sort for 25% of the border is the definition of a secure border. Progress was made, but the border was no where near secure.
