I was alive and well in Owensboro in 1973. I don't recall seeing this fancy pisser.
It wasn't next to West Side Truck Parts?
And if it was a Fancy Pisser ice cubes would be in place of the melting mints.
    Like in The Harley Dealers.

Purple if necessary..You gotta admit I did good. lol

You're probably right. I've become old since then. :oldwise:

Since we had snow today, I'm going to be installing stuff I bought thru the summer like different decals, wheel stripes, etc. It will take me a little bit of time esp since we don't have a working furnace right now.

Yeah, furnace went belly up on Tuesday. Since my wife's house is small, we are using an electric space digitally thermostated heater in the front room and a milk barn heater in the bedroom. If it gets real cold, there is a gas fireplace to fire up.

Which company is still building motorcycles in America again? and which company closed it US factory and tucked its tail back to Japan?

If it sucks, who cares? :abused: I’m all for supporting American, but I ride fast bikes that don’t constantly break down or cost a small fortune. I don’t see an American offering on the market that meets those criteria.:dunno:

Cool story bro, that leaker era was over in 1985.
Built in America by Americans since 1904.

Yea, the motorcycle world has no idea Harley Davidson Shovelheads went out of production in 1985 with the introduction of the Evo.
Shovels were the end of the leakers and kickers.

I dunno, the jokes still ran pretty damn strong when I was going to school to be a bike tech. Even the Harley guys joked about how strong their job security was, lol.

Bought my first one in 75 second in 77 still have the three Shovel heads I bought new. Still on the road.
Funny that even my 2010 twin cam hasn't been back to a dealer since I bought it in 2010.
All Made in America by Americans.

Let us Harley guys know when a overseas motorcycle co has 27 AMC National Championships.

I'm a Harley guy and still have my shovel.

I will not pretend Harley can compete in the sport bike world.
The Buell 1200R was as close as they came.

My old KZ 1000 was a blast to ride if you are looking for more comfortable sport bikeish.

Its just not Harleys style, its Eric Buells style.
In HS I swapped my Sportster with a friend with a LTD 1100 one afternoon. If you wanted the front wheel up, just twist the throttle.
It was an impressive motorcycle, but it didn't make mothers clutch there pearls like a Harley does.

My #1 son and I had a bet a few years ago, sergeant in four and I would kick for a new Sportster. He won, he wanted a Buell I said no fing way son. We settled on a used 2011 or 12 XR1200X Sportster. I have no desire to take it for a ride, None.
