Love it! I certainly get pretty excited when I see a cool train! We happen to live near a couple tracks so it won’t be hard to wander down somewhere here and get some practice in.This engineer knew that I was a Foamer !
Leadeye is an uncommon man .... thankfully !
I own one he had.I feel like I am missing a high polish blued 75 or 85 compact in 40 SW.
Did someone here end up with CM's blued 97?
Russia can win a nuclear war...Yep I do too
Not my 1903s, another fellow Colt collector posting a while back when were calling 1903s the "potato chips" of Colt collecting as nobody has just one.
Russia can win a nuclear war...
People are all over the place on that question. On one hand, Russia thinks that it needs to regain territory lost since the fall of the Soviet Union to protect itself and with the population decline, it's now or never. Given that mindset, he might just roll the dice to see if a tactical nuke causes the rest of Europe to cave. You guys are far wiser than me. Anyone think Putin will actually push the button?
My old 40D still charges and holds the charge just fine. Something newfangled like that 50D is sure to be fineHey Rusty Hornet !
This is what I'm working on .... for you ! I've found the original box, owners manual, a brand new strap (which I installed), a download cable, and (1) battery pack.
I found, and installed a 35 mm lens ... Canon EF, an autofocus lens, made in Japan. This will give you a 'standard view' on a crop sensor camera. In other words, it's probably the most versatile lens, for a wide variety of subjects..
There's only one thing missing that you'll need .... but it's important. That's the battery charger. I'll keep looking for it !
The photo (below) was taken with this camera in 2009. For this photo, I was using a telephoto lens to take a snap of this sparrow at my birdbath.
It's still one of my favorite bird photos ... and shows what the camera is capable of.
Here's the EXIF data from the above photo ..... proof = puddin' !
Camera Canon EOS 50D Lens Canon EF400mm f/5.6L USM Focal Length 400.0 mm (633.8 mm in 35mm) Aperture f/7.1 Exposure Time 0.002s (1/500) ISO 800 Date Taken 2009-07-13 17:31:39 Date Modified 2009-07-13 17:31:39
And actually, even if I find the charger, there's no guarantee that the battery will take, and hold a charge.
I'm certain that the battery pack (and charger) are still available .... probably from a 3rd party manufacturer. A few years ago, I was able to buy (2) batteries and a dual-charger for about $40 ..... so we're not dead in the water !

Let's hope someone takes him out first
Agreed. He's kind of played his conventional cards and shown Russia isn't what many thought they were. He may be desperate enough to try and preserve the illusion in non conventional ways now.People are all over the place on that question. Given that mindset, he might just roll the dice to see if a tactical nuke causes the rest of Europe to cave.
On the other hand, he may find a different method of justifying pulling back because he knows that popping a nuke is not going to go well in a normal world.
I worry that he realizes that he either has to and go for broke, or, back down and get hung by his own people for the debacle this has become.
I think its unlikely. Those people making sure he stays in power are driven by money. The complete destruction of the Russian export economy for a generation or more will not be tolerated.Agreed. Yea.....we sure don't want to get off topic around here. LOL!I appreciate the responses, let's hope it doesn't come to that, but be prepared in case it does. Sorry to derail and doom the thread.
Professional quality from a professional. This is one of my favorite photos ever ... and I took it with that 50D, and a 60mm lens. This is located in a State Park in W. Virginia.
