I'm not patient enough to read 21 pages of thred about Burger King. But let me just say that the last time I ate Burger King I determined the stomach ache I had was worse than just going hungry.

I like their breakfast croissants, but their "flame broiled burgers" just taste like eating burnt grill scrapings to me.

Know that I'm in my mid-late 30s I've found that junk food just doesn't agree with me anymore. Sometimes, especially if I'm traveling, I just go hungry rather than eat junk.

I'm 62. I eat more of it than I should, but it's just so convenient. DoggyMama eats like a bird, so cooking meals, a lot of it ends up going to waste.

What???? I just had one last week! Now I am bummed.
could be they got sweet tea. I noticed when going through the drive through for the fam I was charged $1 for soft drinks but $1.30 for sweet tea (or something like that) Which for me personally I take great offense because sweet tea sucks a** and I get diabeetus just holding the cup. I was accidentally given somebody else's sweet tea in the drive thru last week. I literally could only choke down enough to help me eat my lunch. Once I was done eating I had to pour the rest out and use the cup to get water out of the sink to quench the rest of my thirst. Nasty.

Try half and half (half sweet half plain) to thin it out.

I believe your description is accurate. They used to actually be flame broiled and had a grilled taste but nowadays they use “grill flavorings” which, as I understand it is the soot from burning wood in alcohol…

Hardees still has good flame broiled burgers. But YMMV. A good Hardees thickburger at a store that takes pride in their work, they are awesome.

Ive had numerous crap burgers at the one by my office. (21st and post) Awful. Truly awful. I dont even bother anymore. Even though its the most convenient burger when I'm picking up parts at HD.

But I travel around and try various ones and invariably, the rest are great. Nice and juicy with a great char crust. I'd say 90% as good as a sit down burger joint.

I very briefly worked at BK in maybe 1993-ish. They were flame grilled in the sense a conveyor belt took them through a natural gas fire, but the grill marks were pre made. You had to make sure to put the patty right side down so they blackened, since the grill marks were only on one side. I've no idea what the grooves, err, grill marks were treated with to make them blacken before the rest of the meat.

That's the one job I quit on bad terms. They accused me of stealing cash from the registers. I had the key to exactly one register and exactly three registers were missing money. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out the manager was stealing the cash and penning it on me. I told them to call the cops if they thought I was stealing but, unsurprisingly, they weren't interested in finding out the real culprit. They didn't fire me, just cut my hours to the point I quit. I went to work at Pizza Hut and worked there until I graduated high school, while working construction on weekends and summers.

It's up to them I think. I don't really know why they wouldn't, but they do indeed have signage indicating that they won't. :dunno:
There are those who believe that there is a correlation between having a state ID and not having a DL and having a higher chance of being a straw purchaser. Completely subjective, but I would not be surprised if the the correlation exists. Yeah, some people who are completely honest won't be able to buy there, but oh well.

-1 BK for claiming they have the original chicken sandwich.
