Outside thermometer says 59.4°, but it feels warmer. Kid's cross country and soccer on the docket this a.m.

Finally popped into Hunter's Brewing this evening for dinner and a brew. Owner (who I've met before at the Porter Brew Fest) is uber nice. One of those guys that goes out of his way to connect with his customers. I'd go back.
Compared to to Chesterton Brewery, they are a little different, but I'd lean towards the Chesterton Brewery in the brews and food categories.
Friend of ours owns hunters, Bill’s a trip isn’t he? He’s very passionate about his beer, it’s a hobby for him that turned into a brewery when the original owner moved out of the country. Bill has more money than he knows what to do with and bought it on kind of a whim (he’s the owner of Davies land surveying)

Day 1 of vehicle shopping is in the books. No luck, but may have opened up some more options by having the wife look at some not on her list.
It was a short list of either Expedition or F150. She's now considering an Explorer or Ranger as well. Possibly an Edge too, but she's not 100% on those as of yet.

We'll be replacing the wife's Edge in a couple years. We're going up to the Explorer for the extra row of seats and room.

FWIW: My 2021 V8 F150 is getting 19.9 mpg. That's town and 80+mph on the highway.

We're not worried about the 3rd row seating but she does like the Explorer better because it's slightly bigger.

Buddy and I hit up the Duneland Distillery. Definitely recommend starting out with the tasting experience 1st. For $5, sure. You start with 10 samplings but can expand will past that. We both ended up ordering an old fashioned at the bar. I chose the oak smoked (asked for hickory, but nope). Buddy went with the fall spiced. They have other woods like cherry, maple, etc.

I think, and we recommended, the fruit ones on the list be served chilled. No clue if this affects anything, but she said she would ask about the idea. I was interested in 5 others past this, my buddy probably had 8 past his. I'm not a cinnamon guy, so that shot down quite a few selections.

    Favorite was the salted caramel.
Least favorite was the salted watermelon only because I couldn't bick up the salted portion of the sample.

I'll probably take the wife one day. Seems like something she could handle. The host well prepped of the ethanol burn, but I got 0 (but I'm sipping on 120 proof right now so...).

Garagmahal is started. The existing Danley product is gone, torn down the week before this last one. I set the corners for the new yesterday and did some cleanup. Concrete guy comes tomorrow evening to scope out the cleared area and talk about some changes I've made since first talking to him.

Lady on one of the FB groups said she had a lot of stuff on the curb and people could help themselves. I got a lawn spreader, a couple of sprinklers, a weed whacker, a 2-gal Coleman thermos, and some lumber. Couple of nice 3'X3' squares of plywood and some 2'X4's. Never know when you will need some wood. (OK, have at it  )
