Good grief man, it's your pistol ... do what makes you happy.

That'a what BA & CM did with their $#!T. Perfect the style, make about a hundred differnt copies, and one day your pistols may also be immortalized in these forums.
I agree with TJ! There are a lot of optic ready models out there, but if what you're looking for needs milled then have it done. You are in good company with people who like to modify their firearms! Is there one that you are leaning more towards?

    Thanks for the replies all!
I see you all speak with almost a reverence towards the BA and Wizard touched CZ’s which is why I asked about maybe some that shouldn’t be messed with.

The only optic ready I’ve seen looked kinda plastic-fantastic and that’s definitely not what I’m after.
    Heavy metal.

As far as what I’m looking at, it seems that CZ makes a very wide variety. I would lean towards something like a P226, really like that shape and feel. I have a SAO that’s great, and a DA/SA that also has a nice trigger.

I think I need to find some in the wild and see what I like. After I learn more about the model numbers so I can keep track, still seems confusing.

I think that reverence comes more from function than form as those guns seemed to be modified for great function rather than concern for preserving anything. Seems to me a professionally done optic cut would be the same for most any of these guns unless you are talking some rare collectors piece.

Evening all! Saw Herb Alpert and Lani Hall this evening! Best live show I’ve seen in a long time! They both still have it and obviously love what they do! 2.5 hours of entertainment withiut a break. Highly recommend seeing (some of you youngsters may not know this music but think jazz trumpet).

I saw Herb A. live when I was much, much younger. Having played the trombone through high school, he was revered by all players of brass instruments.
