Figured we needed a place to tell all our epic CM stories. The impact he made not only in our Ingo life, but our life in general. One thing i notice about CM is he never belittled anyone. Never made them feel less knowledgeable then he was. Which was amazing seeing how very few was as knowledgeable in most things then CM. Here's my epic CM story.
It was my first visit to Mayberry to meet some of the fine folks at Ingo. After everyone ordered their food ...cheeseburgers and fries of course, i leaned into Cm and told him I'd buy everyone's lunch today. You know, playing the big shot, trying to buy friends. So i told the young waitress to send the check to me. As i pulled out my super supreme gold plated credit card. CM had this smirk on his face. I figured he just never seen a super supreme gold plated card. He asked if i only carry the card. I said yup. No need to carry cash anymore. I grab the check walk slowly up to the bar and slapped that bad boy down. That's when i noticed CM... That same smirk. I don't think he ever blinked. Then i noticed everyone else now... Staring... Smirking. Then i heard the waitress say. Oh honey.. We don't except credit cards here. WHAT??? That's when i heard CM laughing. I asked if they had an ATM machine. Nope, nearest one is at the bank.. Nearest bank is 25 miles away. Man that mouse set me up. That's when i knew i was going to love these people. For the record the next time i wandered into Mayberry i had ample cheeseburger cash. Yup, nothing beats a cheeseburger, pantless with a wad of money in your socks. Smelling like gun powder. Surrounded with people you love. I'll miss those days. Most of all.... I'll miss that Mousey Smirk.

I actually remember that day. My wife and I had come with dad and we remember meeting you. That was a good day.

LittleTanker wanted to make a video imitating Kentucky Ballistics after he had the 50 BMG blow up in his face. So we headed out to the range to let him try some "big boy" guns. He was 10 at the time. He had never been a big fan of the AR's as the report was a little scary for him. But he wanted to try it again. He loved it. I had a lower that I hadn't built yet and now he wanted to build one. He's 10.

Of course I posted about it here and a little bit later posted the 14 minute video of LittleTanker doing one heck of a Kentucky Ballistics video. Tim had followed both thread. I got a PM asking for my address from CM. A little while later, a box showed up on our doorstep addressed to LT. It contained all but 2 pieces to finish a lower.

Earlier this spring, we finally got around to building it. Tim was able to see LT shoot it at the SGE.

Little Tanker was able to meet Tim and say thanks. LT had also joined us for burgers with CM, CKW and Kelly. CM really made an impression on him. He was listening to Tim's stories about his time in racing and was asking me questions all the way home about him.

We're doing well for the most part. It's touch and go but we'll get through together. We're just thankful that dad isn't suffering anymore.

    A holler in Kentucky
First time I met Tim was at Falls city firearms in Clarksville, Indiuckys place. I knew he was gonna stop in that day, but had never seen him before, had no idea what he looked like. After awhile, this dude comes strolling in with a big grin on his face, and (I think rick was dealing with a customer) I looked at him and said “you have to be Churchmouse”, he busted out laughing and said “that’d be me”!

We covered a lot of subjects that day, but the main one I remember was about the band Rush, we talked quite a bit about them.

Tim always commented on how weird it was that he had to look up to talk to me when my screen name is “littleTommy”.:):

First time I met Tim was when he was selling several lots of 7.62x51 ammo. It was selling fast I think, because every time I would PM him about one lot, it had just sold. Finally was able to lay claim to some German surplus (DAG IIRC) and went to his house to pick it up. He invited me in and we sat at the kitchen table and talked for awhile. I think it was at the time when DoggyMama and I were going through some personal stuff and he was offering encouragement and sympathy. He was very sincere.

When I got home and was putting the ammo away, there was quite a bit more than what he though was in the lot, so I called him up to let him know, and also to let him know that I wanted to pay for it (it was a good deal for what was "supposed" to be there so I didn't want to take advantage of that). He gave me his address (and his last name, since I didn't know it at the time!) and let me mail him a check for the balance of what I owed.

It makes me sad to realize we all lost such a wonderful man as Churchmouse. I looked through some pictures and found this one from the October 2016 NFA Day. It was a very good day. Lots of lasting memories made. I realize that there are many good people in this picture. I've been blessed with several INGO friendships. I will point out, however, the "troublemaker" in the back row making "rabbit ears" behind 42769vette. :) He makes me smile.

I actually don’t remember the FIRST time I met Tim. I have lost count of how many times I met up with him to trade knives and stories. Or sitting at his table talking 1911s. Or the time he fixed my furnace because he was just that kind of guy. Or the other time he fixed my A/C. Or the many times we met with Rhino at Union Jack. Man, I’m sure going to miss that guy…

I got a chance to sit at that same table.
I can't claim to be friends with CM. It was only 20 30 minutes. But after that, Every post of his made more sense. I wish I would have known him better.

He welcomed me on the forum and in the OSUT soon after I joined INGO. I was always quite impressed with his willingness to jump in and help any member who posted a need. I can think of several fundraisers that he volunteered to organize. Christmas gifts for a family with children, assistance for @baldguy637's daughter when she had a major surgery, etc. He was fair as a mod/admin, and loved his family. We talked a fair amount outside of the forum, and I consider him family. There were several running jokes....which is how he ended up with his Hello Kitty purse and Viking hat. The coin rules.

I met churchmouse after chatting with him on the forum about 1911's. Was invited over to his compound to have trigger work done on my Springer Loaded. Sat out in his shop with him for an hour or two talking, then sat at the kitchen table and chatted with him for hours again when I went to pick the gun up after he worked on it. Not long after he invited me out to MCF&G with a group of hooligans that I'm still shooting with, all thanks to his kindness.

I can remember many times chatting with him at that kitchen table, or over at UJ's over a cheeseburger, or at the range shooting and seeing that huge smile on his face when he was shooting a gun he loved. That's the way I'll always remember him.
