There's been a lull in the CZ'icko posting this afternoon .... so I'll volunteer to jump-in, and fill the void ! ;)

The Heritage Flight is always one of my favorite performances of an air show.
Pair-up an old warbird with a modern jet .... play some sappy music ... it works .... it gets me right in the heart, every time ! :patriot:

It doesn't hurt that this year, I'm also very happy with my photograph of the Heritage Flight..... as sometimes I'm not. You only get the chance for a few minutes, and then poof ... it's gone.

(as always, click to make big)

Also, during the static displays on the tarmac, before the performances started, I found this to be a curious (but cool) thing.
These were Air Force enlisted guys .... and not only did they have their Sig M18's on the hip, but they had a locked-n-loaded rifles. They plane that they were underneath, didn't have any barrier around it, as some of the others did.
Maybe they were just there in case of an active shooter ?!?

At least the last photo was gun related !
I hope that nobody minds my air show photos popping-up. Being back at a show, after a 10-year absence, gets me all wound up, and I like to show the photos.
I hope that's OK with you all ?!?

I like the artsy, not so much the fartsy:thumbsup: Very cool pics! Haven't been to a show since they stopped having the one at Mt Comfort. Might have to consider other shows to attend.

Hey thanks ! Yup, the last show that I attended was also at Mr. Comfort, in 2012.
The following year, I had major neurosurgery on my spine, which took about a full year to recover from.
Then, they cancelled the Indy show, plus the Covid struck, and almost all big events were cancelled anyway.
I was more than happy to drive the paltry 2 hours to the Dayton Airport !

Used to hangar with this guy. A beautiful T-6 Texan. They raced at Reno but I never went. Those days are long gone. The owner has since passed away and am now at a public airport.
