With my lottery millions, I will have an HK MP5SD. Oh yes.

If I won the lottery, there's a 100% chance I would start buying full-auto guns (as an "alternative investment", of course). I wonder how many I'd be able to acquire before, a.) the feds started to get suspicious of my true intentions for needing so many full-autos, and b.) I started to move the market higher from all of my purchases.

And to think that it wasn't too long ago, in a country that doesn't have the right of the people to keep and bear arms, an AKM could be bought for a loaf of bread and a chicken!

Looks like I'm going on vacation to some questionable countries...

Full-auto prices are crazy. But given the forever-limited supply, they aren't going to go down. So many guns I wish I'd bought 10 years ago...

    You mean 35 years ago.

Well, I would've been a little young to buy a gun then. But even in the past 10-15 years, the prices have doubled or more on many of them. I recently bought a transferrable machine gun that the previous owner had for about 20 years. I paid a fairly discounted market price, but I got the feeling that it was still almost all profit for the seller.

That they have, I bought for the most part when the cost of the stamp was a big deal.

You also have to remember that we could have invested that money elsewhere and done pretty well too.

47k5 might be an OK price. I know a Dr in OK that was willing to pay $52k.

At some point, & maybe we're past this, it'll be cheaper to get an FFL SOT 02 than to pay these prices.

Better yet, get some buddies, create a llc/company and everyone chip in on a few nfa items.

A lot of the value in a transferable MP5 is on how it was converted. Was it a registered receiver two push pin conversion, a sear that can be divorced from the host, sear pack, or? Some of the more desirable conversions are going close to $50k or more.

We are well past that point. It is definitely cheaper to get an FFL SOT 02 than to get into machine guns anymore.

Really what you have to balance is how much all the hassle is worth and whether you will get in trouble with zoning/hoas to run a home based business where you live.
