So, now that prices are rising rapidly, I keep getting emails that dealers are offering "their lowest premiums yet!" Where were you last month or last year when spot was lower?

Well for once I timed it right-ish. This morning I decided to order some random 1oz rounds Provident had on sale. Spot was around $21.80, price per round was $21.80 and the price for the rounds was $25.74. They are up a couple bucks now.

Didn’t know if that was different from other bullion dealers or not. I do business with a near by dealer for ASE nowadays no tax with those at my guy anyway, been away from generic bullion for a bit. Just wondering if folks were aware of our local (Indiana) outfit. I used them from 3.00 all the way to 11.00 however long ago that was.

Silver Town charges a markup fee, but no taxes when you buy in person.
Ya, never drove over there and it’s been a while since my last order, if memory serves me correctly the premium was a buck per Troy last time I ordered. I remember there shipping was quick and the packaging was first rate. Rounds came in sheets of 20 sealed in clear plastic 10’s came singles sealed in same. Insured to my hands, UPS I believe.

Maybe so, all I can tell you is last time we bought from Silver Towne and paid cash. They didn't charge us tax.
As I stated in my previous post they did charge a not insignificant extra amount, spot plus X....

Looks like more opportunities to buy silver are coming up sooner rather than later. I have no issue driving the price down farther, but I'll wait a bit before my next purchase.

Just pulled the trigger on a British Gold Britannia from Provident.

Good, saw there price, looks good.

I’ve been trading the ratio’s for the last decade or so.
    50/55:1 Ag to Au.
    95/100:1 Au to Ag.
Has allowed me to grow my pm’s with no out of pocket. Only made 3 trades I think, maybe 4, really have to watch the ratios closely sometimes you only have minutes to decide. It’s higher today than it has been in two years 87:1, I’m watching. It’s been welded at ~80:1 for quite a while. If it get’s to 95:1 I’ll have a good day.

Looks like I timed things right buying silver 2 days ago and gold yesterday. Both are up today. Maybe because of the coming interest rate hike? :dunno:
