Listening to talk radio the other day, I heard someone use the phrase, "Going full Winchester".
The host asked the guest to explain "Full Winchester" and gave the following definition.
He said, going full Winchester was to expend all of your ammo, leaving yourself temporarily unarmed.
Something akin to a mag-dump, from what I garnered.

I had never heard this term before, and it's not like I just got into firearms last week.
Has anyone here heard this term before?
Did I get the definition correct?

    Could be anywhere
AF Brevity code word Winchester = no ordinance remaining; only thing left to do is ram them.

No missiles, no guns...time to RTB, probably did some good work out there...

Somebody else just added some verbal fluff to it so he could sound cool.

Hey if someone breaks in to my house I am not breaking INGO tradition, the pants will remain OFF :abused: :ingo: , kinda reminds me of the Ozzy Osbourne break in story now TBH.

For the Sabbath fans , probably their best concert ever and one of the first "metal" concerts ever. Paris 1970

Thread jack over , have a good night CM hope you are doing OK tonight!

That's not always an option in the real world. Everything is a weapon...have your backups ready in your mind.

Sure it is. To start with, you have to carry enough rounds in the first place. How often do you hear of cops running out of ammo?

Improvised weapons are a given. Of course you need to know them. However, this thread's about running out of ammo...

    ...or not...

Thanks for the concert video. They were my favorite group in high school. Got my 1st album of theirs, Master of Reality, over 50 years ago. Saw them three times by 1975. Nice article too. Had not heard bout the break-in. Cool.
