Have you been paying attention to the **** show that is our current government lol?

Because that is just a par 2 shot, some of them have been way more unrealistic.
It is a little shocking to go full on communist and propose gas price increases be illegal…

And yes, even with paying attention…

    .

Energy price gouging was the parrot cry back in the 70s, congress even got Nixon to print ration coupons even though they were never used. Any serious legislation on this will create instant shortages as companies won't sell gas if they can't make money on it. They will sell it elsewhere or cut back on production. How many here remember the long lines of cars during the 70s trying to fill up, or no gas signs.

Pelosi is certainly old enough to remember. Or maybe she's too old to remember. Biden isn't the only one that I suspect is in mental decline in this administration.

I’m old enough to remember seeing the “No Gas” signs in front of gas stations back in the day.

I scanned an article a few days ago that contrasted corporate hiring policies that use research data that most 80+ year old people do not have the mental faculties to perform most jobs so they do not hire them but most of our so called political leadership is 80+…

My mom (RIP) was pretty sharp mentally until near the end, but we took her keys away about 10 years before then. Someone should take these peoples' "keys" away.

Still had food on the shelves though.

Very true, one of the differences though is diesel. The government for some reason has been discouraging the use of diesel fuel for domestic use for some years. Back in the 70s it was looking at it as a potential solution, so much that GM actually tried to convert gas engine blocks to diesel with no success. Now diesel is running out on the east coast and commodity hauling will drop off.

More intentional damage to our economy…
I think he’s intentionally acting to bring about his ideological goals. The progressives are praising him for saving the planet. We’re condemning him because he’s ****ing up the country for nutty ideological beliefs. Well. And the money he’s getting to peddle the power of his office.

I don't think the stench would be worth any BTU's. Plus I bet they are only full of hot air, no BTU's!
With all the pork they peddle, wouldn’t be a shame if the smell was that of bacon? No one could ever eat bacon again. That would be a fate worse than death.
