I'm losing my mind over my recent MP5 clone purchase of a PTR 9CT. I'm hoping there's a sizable fan base for these weapons on this forum, please sound off if you are, and let me know what you have, and what you've done to make your MP5 yours. I also would love to know I'm not the only person who watched the best Christmas of all time with my little semi-subgun in my hands, helping take back Nakatomi Plaza from Hans Gruber.

Got it from Hoosier Armory up in Noblesville, thank you to that shop, I've rarely been treated so well. I've already bought a Safety Harbor KES tailhook adapter, a wide MP5 handguard, and a G3 rear sight because I'm a terrible person and really like the open notch of the G3 for point blank to 25 yard speed shooting.

Already posted this photo, but I need a before and after.... once my mailman brings the new kit I'll post the updated build. Ho-Ho-Ho

I have an extra Bushnell TRS 25 laying around that I might throw on it. I might get some crap by some for having a $60 RDS on a $2k mp5 clone but this isn't a "work gun" by any means. I bought it for the fun factor at the range.

I want an MP5 , but know they really shine when an auto sear is added so I will go be poor somewhere else :abused: . Had the chance to shoot a registered mp5 and it totally ruined the semi auto guns for me.

definitely still get the semi-auto MP5, you will love it. Spend the $550 on the binary and practice, you can get close to that FA feeling. I’m incredibly happy with my semi, as I’ll never have $40k to spend on a transferable SMG. It’s literally the most fun firearm I own!

I got mine some years ago. I got some good advice from a friend long ago. If you find a NFA deal buy it and resell it. Study values and know what you are looking at. I had some friends to ask questions on stuff I did not know. I got a 401k loan and turned my profits into what I really wanted. Don't pass on a deal that you can make lots of money on. Some people really need to sell immediately cheap to get cash.

I have a buddy with a sear MP5K package deal he is asking $40k on and it is on the borderline of me buying it. I can part it out, keep what I want. But the transfer times will eat up a lot of interest payments.

Ugh, man, I want one so bad. Way back when I was a kid I scraped together a hundred someodd bucks in chore money, got a money order (no debit card lol), and stuffed it in an envelope to secretly order some Chinese airsoft MP5. I stalked the front porch for weeks so I could grab it from UPS without getting caught by the anti-gun parents.

God I beat the hell out of that thing, dragging it around the woods and shooting at my little brother. I jimmied the door on an abandoned building nearby just so I could go in with cardboard box targets and firecrackers to practice flashing and clearing rooms. Poor plastic gun literally fell apart by the time I turned 18.

MP5A2, fixed stock, Surefire forend. Rainbow Six, not Die Hard. That's the dream.

I concur that a mp5 in semi auto is pretty darn fun. Before all the drama that got started with them, I was looking forward to the rarebreed frt trigger for the mp5 that was supposedly in development.

How is the binary mp5 trigger? I have fought the urge to order a picto hk trigger housing with the franklin already installed. But it was $
