I watched the parole hearing. It took about 15 minutes just to read the guys rap sheet. He has 21 years of violence and every time was a slap on the hand, with a couple of short times jailed, in multiple states. He was never even prosecuted for 1/2 of his crimes. He was already on parole from the past and out on bond for felonies committed a couple weeks ago. Six dead people would be alive, 80 people would not be hurt and the citizens would not have endured this violence if the legal system had not been in complete failure. Like Floyd and Blake, they would not have been able to commit the crimes if they were in jail for what they had already doe. No wonder criminals have no fear of the law. If the prosecutor does not hang this guy, the prosecutor should get life with no parole.

Also, the woman defense attorney was hugging the criminal and caressing him the whole hearing. What in the world would that be about? Really unprofessional and inappropriate.

Probably not. While there is national awareness, locals don't seem to care until the chickens come home to roost in their own backyards.

Once there is a Indy-based incident along the same lines, people will start paying attention.
Like not filing a DPP to stop a massacre at an airport facility in Indianapolis?

Yeah, don't think the voters care as much as some seem to think.

People who weren't directly affected by this attack won't remember it a week from now. It won't be discussed in the media. There won't be updates, or thinkpieces, or dissections of the killer's life and motives. There won't be a livestreamed trial. This will go straight down the memory hole as a non-event.

I don't know about "driving an SUV into a parade" type incidents, but it seems to me we've already had several incidents in Marion County where a guy just bailed out turns right around and commits _another_ violent crime almost immediately. That should be a Red Flag to everyone in the community.

And, yeah, I wasn't thinking about the FedEx shooter, either.

Not to forget about no follow up on recorded crimes committed by the favored ones...

Is Mears another Soros-DA? Heres a painful foreshadowing quote from that piece of @#$! Milwaukee DA Chisholm: “Is there going to be an individual I divert, or I put into treatment program, who’s going to go out and kill somebody? You bet. Guaranteed. It’s guaranteed to happen."
WTF is wrong with people actually electing these nutjobs? Can the parents of that dead 8yr old boy & his 12yr old brother barely clinging to life sue this scumbag DA for letting this racist psychopath with a 30 page rap sheet back out on the streets?? And why does the pathetic press try to hide the true motivation of this murderous psyco? I think from all his social media & rap lyrics its painfully obvious that he didnt just make a wrong turn... What a joke

It sure does look like it was on purpose, but I think I'll wait and see what a jury says about it.

As only white people died, I am sure the Left is cheering and asking for more. Racism and slavery are OK if it can be weaponized against whites.

IMHO, Judges carry as much blame as most prosecutors do. After all they are the ones who accept a number of plea deals that allow many to be out on house arrest or probation etc. They oversee bond hearings and are supposed to be looking at the same probable cause, mitigating and aggravating circumstances. Why do they keep letting violent criminals out on the street?

I've said it before but the problem I see with Judges elected by the people is this.. Most honest law abiding citizens see names listed on a ballot and have no idea who it is. Those who have been in front of a judge or have seen family in front of a judge that they felt gave them a break, are likely to vote in favor of them. Most of us law abiding look at names and basically just pick from the list and hope for the best.

43% of all of accused murderers in Marion County were either on pre-trial release or awaiting sentencing when they committed the alleged homicides. 43%!!!

New mayor of New York agrees with you. There might be hope for some that call themselves dems after all?
