Sign up on Practiscore please, I do have it set up this month!

Cost: $10 for HHRP members, $15 for non-members
All participants must use eye and ear protection.

If you haven't shot NRL22 before, the short version is 5 strings of ten rounds (and occasionally 12 rounds) in two minutes per string, shooting multiple positions (prone, sitting, kneeling, offhand, and obstacles, with and without support), multiple distances (20-100 yards), and varying targets (1/4"-4" steel). It isn't hard, but it is challenging and a lot of fun.

HHRP is a member of NRL so scores will be posted with NRL22.

Search for HHRP should come up with it along with our other matches. pre-registration is not mandatory but does shave a little time off per person during sign-in.

    Hello,

Are the NRL22 matches "newbie" friendly? I would be new to NRL22 match competition, but I am not a new shooter. I know this may be late for getting into the current season, but I would really like to be ready to go for next season. Any info from active NRL22 shooters at HHRP would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

I’ve only made it to one NRL22 match so far (hoping to get to more next year), but it’s a “challenging” match. I’m far from a new shooter, and I found it harder than I expected.

That said, the guys at HHRP were very friendly and encouraging, and even let me use some of their gear.

If you are going to be there for the December match, give me a shout and I'll help any way I can.

Sorry I didn't see this before the match, haven't been on ingo lately. I like to think ours are. The first couple times out are always a little frustrating.

Depends on how new you are. If you're truly starting from zero there are some things you'll need to have a grasp on, at least conceptually, such as bullet drop/windage and positional shooting. You definitely don't have to be a seasoned expert shooter to come out and have fun. We're a pretty easygoing bunch that will give as much or as little help as you like. Pretty much all HHRP matches are pretty newb friendly as long as you can handle a gun safely and follow basic directions.
