I’m on the more compassionate side on this subject. My best friend is a devout Muslim.

I get skepticism, but do you have any real support for this statement ro is this just fear of "the different"?

I don't fear the different. I just find it peculiar the men outnumber the women 20 to 1. Would YOU leave your wife or daughter behind knowing what was coming? They should assimilate very well.

Looks like a whole lot of able bodied people that could have picked up an AK and taken the fight to the taliban if they really wanted to. We've flown out more 'refugees' now than there are taliban.

We abandoned a lot of Vietnamese folks who worked for or helped us in that war. The ones who eventually made it to the U.S. didn't turn out to be communists carrying AK-47's or even significantly contributed to our crime rate. No one has a crystal ball (that works), but I'll venture to say that we have more to fear from our native born criminals (who left wingers keep on the streets) and native born communists than the Afghan refugees. They are going to have a hard enough time making it without bigotry. Why add to their uphill climb?
