The Biden administration in just the past year alone stockpiled the records of more than 54 million U.S. gun owners and is poised to drastically alter gun regulations to ensure that information on Americans who own firearms ultimately ends up in the federal government's hands, according to internal Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

And some here voted for that. Jim.

Illegal as the day is long, but not surprising at all. We saw this administration's disregard the rule of law from the CDC's dictates on not paying rent to the disaster on our southern border.

    I want my Country back.

Maybe I'm just dense, but is there something happening here other than what's required by federal law?

It seems like the story is mainly hand ringing about the sheer number of records being sent to the ATF due to FFLs going out of business.

Gun activists described this figure as worryingly high and said it contributes to fears that the Biden administration is trying to keep track of all Americans who own firearms, in violation of federal statutes.
    Contributes to fears?

I despise the law that requires these records to go to the feds, but until we see actual evidence they are using the info to create a searchable database, this is all speculation.

The Federal Govt can't have those records per the 1968 Gun Control Act. They hired contractors to scan the 4473s, that are turned in by FFLs when they go out of business. The govt just asks the contactors to query the database when they want information.

Taking the lessons from COVID, they can mandate firearms and ammo taxes, "no guns pledges" and inspections for "audits and proper storage". Refuse to comply, and a SWAT team followed by a local news crew show up at your door. Then BigRed makes the evening news as one of those Second Amendment wackos who would not comply. As everybody knows, "the No Guns mandate is for the common good". See Austrailia and Canada for examples of how this would go down.

If they attack gun ownership like they have forced COVID mandates, then it will be a battle on multiple fronts.
    1. Make people scared of guns.
    2. Teach children that guns are bad and they need to report on any guns that they see.
    3. Shut down ranges through zoning and environmental regulations, fees and permits.
    4. Tax guns and ammunition with increasingly expensive fees.
    5. Pile on record keeping and verification audits for gun collections and ammo storage.
    6. Make guns a public health crisis and start treating gun owners as health risks to others.
    7. Require all parts on a firearm to have matching serial numbers.
    8. Use contact tracing with Red Flag laws to take firearms from whole groups of people linked to a single individual.
    9. The lists of tactics learned from the COVID mandates are never ending. How many weeks ago did they say the curve would be flattened?

I know this all sounds far fetched but the enemies of the Second Amendment are all about power, division and control.

Almost all of these have already been implemented or attempted and are regularly revisited to keep adding to them.

Sounds good, but they have been in charge before....accomplished very little. We need real change. Changing from democrats/socialists to republican/socialists rino's is not enough; they're the same.

We need real change. We need to demand term limits. we need to demand they follow the constitution, we need to prevent political power over citizen power, we need them to remember we are NOT a democracy and certainly do not want socialism. We need them to understand their decision to ignore any of these will result in true action and not just lip service. We, the people, need to set up a system to hold politicians accountable and insure swift legal action and prison if they do not follow our constitution.

There is NO ACCOUNTABILITY in this administration.
